Stand Tall, Burton

Cummings' wikipedia entry listed him as a singer for Toto. He sort of looks a LITTLE like Bobby Kimball (sp- oh ya) but that's funny right there...

I hate this song.
There are a few songs of his/ BTA's that are ok/good IMHO.
just can't think of them right now.

But Randy's a pretty cool guy.
And his saturday night radio show "vinyl tap" is very interesting and always cool.

/ heard a few tracks off of "above the ground" by Burton Cummings, on the AM radio, but they were just ok... alright/good...

Never heard his radio show but BTO is one of the very few bands that cause me to change the station when I hear them.

Massive suckage; trite, stupid and over-played.

Forget the radio hits. Check out 'Not Fragile' circa '74. 'Sledgehammer' will make your ears bleed. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.

BTO was my first concert back in '74, and they absolutely kicked ass. About 15, 16 years later, I saw Randy with his version of the band in a little hole in the wall club, and they were just as good. I also got to meet him this time, so I had that going for me; which is nice.

I like how this song makes lists of "greatest songs about work" or some such nonsense. And yet, the song is about being a slacker.

Wow, this was actually Green lit. /smitty

I saw Bachman and Cummings a trillion times, and funnily enough, when this video was taken, around 1979, Bachman and Cummings farking hated eachother.

Bachman's nearly 70 and he still rocks as if he was only 20, plus doesn't look like he's on his deathbed like the Stones or his arch rivals the Who. I can't believe Burton's mustache is still that black 30 years later, it's never going to get white

I saw Bachman/Cummings in kansas City back in the summer.
Both looked and sounded fantastic. Top 10 of my favorite shows ...evar.
