There are two things wrong with the name of "American Thinker."

Has it been proven that he was born in the US?

By the standards of Kennebunkport and his isolated ranch, Dubya was neither born nor has ever resided in "America".

Subby, did you even read the blurb in the link? Very disappointed, misleading headline. D-

BGates: Has it been proven that he was born in the US?

yes. He's produced his birth certificate, had it evaluated by nonpartisan groups and confirmed by the state of Hawaii. Additionally, there was a birth announcement in a Hawaiian newspaper.

St_Francis_P [TotalFark] 2008-12-07 05:50:49 PM
BGates: Has it been proven that he was born in the US?

No, Hawaii recanted. They now say they have no idea why they formerly claimed he was born in Hawaii.

has it ever been proven that he wasn't?

BGates: Has it been proven that he was born in the US?

Yes. It has also been proved that Sarah Palin is an idiot and George W. Bush is a failure, yet surprisingly, a rather large number of people refuse to acknowledge these tautologies.

Still, even most of those idiots know that Obama was born in America.

Guess which side these nuts would have been on?

He misspoke.

Unless someone thinks that for some reason Bill Richardson has insider info to a conspiracy.

Explanation? Obama spent time as an expat and so might have some empathy with people living in foreign countries.

That legitimate sentiment, plus a brain-o, easily explains the statement in TFA.

BGates: Has it been proven that he was born in the US?

No, he was born in the nation of "I kicked the GOP's ass" and now they are trying to undo their ass kicking. Unfortunately, Hawaii has given the thumbs up on his birth, and a newspaper announcement shows that he was born in HI. If they find out that he was born in Kenya, the law of what makes a citizen is so fleeting and changing, that the SCOTUS will rule on his behalf regardless since it's a stupid rule when one of his parents was clearly an American and he was clearly raised as such. Go back to the shadows.

Bill, I get what you mean. You meant it in a metaphorical sense, not a literal one.
The problem is, the tards out there saw this and are pouncing on it crying to high heavens about Obama not being born in the US.

cranberryzero [TotalFark] 2008-12-07 07:35:44 PM
This is called reading into shiat. Obama can certainly be called an immigrant, or part of the immigrant community since he's only first generation since his dad came over from kenya. even if the crazy right wing bloggers dream were true and he were born in kenya not the us, this wouldn't change this. it would just make him "maybe not a citizen" not an immigrant.

/straws. you are grasping for them.

susansto-helit [TotalFark] 2008-12-07 07:35:55 PM
The hysterical conspiracy theorists are going to have a long four years. Regardless of whatever insane ravings you guys happen to (incorrectly) believe, Obama is still the next President of the United States.

When John McCain said "My fellow prisoners..."
He meant: "My fellow Americans..."
~C'mon, he's a busy guy in high-pressure situation...he just misspoke...no big deal

When Bill Richardson said "Obama's an immigrant..."
He meant: Obama was born in Kenya
~OMFG!!!1! He slipped up and let the troof out !! He's in on the conspiracy!1!! There's NO OTHER EXPLANATION! WHARRGARBL!! And he said it in a FURRIN LANGUAGE!! OMG!!

BGates: Has it been proven that he was born in the US?

There is microfilm evidence in the form of a birth announcement in the Honolulu Advertiser of Obama's birth. We all know that the state of Hawaii legally cannot give out the original, and the state's official facsimile, well we all know that there is no use confusing Republicans with the facts.

"Obama es un immigrante".

He might be speaking jibberish, but it's pretty clear to me what he meant.

Cmon, usually you are better than this. Where someone was born can be proven. Idiot and failure are subjective terms. At least compare things that are the same.

It would be over when Obama finally proves his citizenship.

Its a requirement to qualify for office. IMHO, inaugurating a man who hasn't proved he's qualified to serve would be unconstitutional, and his presidency illegal.

eddiesocket 2008-12-07 08:08:01 PM
Even the craziest of crazies who think Obama's not really from this country can't possibly believe that he would confide this information to Bill Richardson, can they? Can they?

It doesn't matter whether he was born in the USA or not. The Supreme Court is looking into it, and for your joy and wet dream they will rule Obama not a citizen so they can install John McCain instead. Really! Just keep saying Obama is not a citizen, Obama is not a citizen, and soon he won't be! Really, really, really!!!! Just keep praying and hoping and commenting on the internet! Really, really, really, you can have Obama not be a citizen. How did he get into Pakistan? With an Indonesian passport, and he can't have a duel passport, he's an Indonesian citizen!!!!!! Really, McCain is going to be president instead, I promise!!!!! Hope that happiez you.

Ah, there you are beyond green! How good of you to come back! Say, weren't you the one who said that "the greatest judicial minds in our nation" (Thomas, Scalia, etc.) would be deciding to hear the citizenship case against Obama on December 5th? I believe that was you! And hey, I guess they decided that since the opposition had literally no evidence to support their claims, that simply even hearing the case was unnecessary. As has every other court that the crazy sore losers have tried to file with. Doesn't that tell you something when you're at odds which "the greatest judicial minds in our nation"? They seem to feel that Obama has proven his citizenship to the standards that every single other Presidential candidate has been held to. Why do you think you know more than Clarence Thomas has? Are you unamerican or something?

So, is this going to be Obama's Whitewater? next thing the Birthers will be saying Obama had his grandma put down so she could not say where he was really born. The right-wingnuts need something to keep the bile flowing after all.

On some of the crazy websites they have already said that. Don't believe for a second you can think of something those sickos haven't already thought of.

Oh...I thought I was playing along with a joke. I pretty much go into full sarcasm/BS mode in these "Obama's not an American" threads. I figure people are either joking or they're beyond reason...either way, just a bit of fun.

Do you have some evidence the court rejected the petition?

Holy shiat. Wow. I really am speechless. You people are just so far gone...wow. Yeah, you're right, dude. They probably totally accepted the case and it's unlikely Obama's going to be President, yet no one in the media or on Capitol Hill or anywhere else has decided to report this world-changing event. Wow. I can't believe you manage to feed and clothe yourself every day.

Its been proven that he was born in the USA just some dumb farks won't accept it because they still are shocked that he beat their choice for president. These people are as retarded as the morons who believe in a young earth and they simply won't shut up about it no matter what anyone else says or what proof is given so its best to ignore them. We will be hearing about this stupidity through all 4 or 8 years of Obama's presidency because these people are simply idiots and nothing anyone shows them will ever change their stupid little minds.
