Atlantic City is a town whose origins are rooted in vice

Atlantic City reminds me of Hill Valley in Back to the Future 2. A really nice casino (plural in AC's case) surrounded by a slum. It gets real creepy real fast once you get away from the casinos.

This mayor's antics sound like something out of Sopranos.

"And then the minister says, 'Let's do it - the room's already paid for!' "

That story.
A great one.
First sentence.
Second sentence.
Not complete.

Also, hooker trifecta in play?

HMS_Blinkin: You gotta love an article that starts with two sentence fragments.

Not uncommon.

Journalists using sentence fragments.

For effect.

Considered acceptable.

Even if incorrect.

I think it has more potential as a New Jersey bashing thread.
I believe you'll agree with me after you talk to my associate, Vinnie Six Fingers.

I'm sure the minister was simply teaching the young lady about the virtues & morality of the Baptist Church.

/snicker

He declined to comment, but has filed an invasion of privacy lawsuit against Callaway and several others. Robinson maintains the sex was consensual, and that money he gave the woman was to buy sodas.

Seriously?

I have seen this movie.

More than once.

That was the one line of the article that made me LOL. Even if true, it's still funny.

BTW, the article made me feel a little better about the scum-sucking bottom feeders we have as politicians here; I don't think they are quite as bad as NJ; at least they don't get caught as often.

What I don't understand is how a baptist minister can blame anyone else for his having had extramarital sex. However seductive the hooker was, the fact remains that he succumbed to sin. Whether or not money changed hands, and regardless of the laws of Man, he is still a minister who willingly violated one of God's.

Not that I believe in that particular commandment, but it's part of his job to act in accordance with it.

Their rules only apply when they're judging other people.

A hooker and a Baptist minister having sex in a seedy motel room, where a camera was hidden in a clock radio. A videotape delivered to a radio talk show host by someone wearing oversized glasses, a fake beard and surgical gloves.

That's two threads in as many days that bring up that episode of TNG.

Must be something in the water.

/waiting for today's O'Reilly thread.

Why am I not surprised?

I wasn't as the article didn't say anything about underaged boys.

I spent a night at an Alantic City hospital emergency room waiting to hear about a buddy who had a severe allergic reaction to shellfish and just wow, the night was not a dull one. The people who visit the ER at 3am in AC besides my buddy are a completely different sort. Drunks and druggies were the majority.

radioman_ 2008-12-07 03:43:29 PM
This couldn't have happened to a nicer Democrat-controlled city. Those of us on the right may wage war and kill babies but our states and cities are nowhere near as politically corrupt as Democratic areas - probably because no one can suck at the public teat like a Democrat.

tsferg 2008-12-07 03:51:01 PM
Yep, morality is definitely in direct correlation with religion. No argument.

Nice troll. I had forgotten that the governor and senator behind the "Bridge to Nowhere" were Dems.

Thank you. Please drive through.
