(some Yat) Dumbass If you're a famous New Orleans TV/radio sportscaster planning on murdering your wife, it's probably best not to leave a handwritten checklist for the deed in your FEMA trailer   (wwl.com) divider line 34

When you're 71 years old, you need a checklist just to remember to go to the bathroom.

corgic [TotalFark] 2008-12-06 09:42:27 PM
Well, clearly the last item on the list should have been "throw out list"

How can someone from New Orleans fark up murder?

dj_bigbird [TotalFark] 2008-12-06 09:53:28 PM
He needs a checklist? He could gun her down in broad daylight and NOPD wouldn't be able to figure out whodunnit.

For the record, he also went to a local costume shop, where he was recognized, to buy his fake mustache and beard. Not clever

If he was clever would he be in broadcasting?

Life in prison. He's 71.

Man, the trial is getting moved into my sweet hometown. I'm glad I'm not around for the hullabaloo that it's going to cause.

Also, what an idiot. He forgot to wrote "throw away checklist" on the list.

I was about to suggest a "New Orleans" tag for stories like this, but I just heard that Dollar Bill just got kicked out. This is the first recorded sensible thing that New Orleanians have done since before the Civil War.

#10) go to local strip club, brag during lapdance that I just killed my wife

You know, there's probably a song in there someplace. Maybe Travis Tritt already did it:

I can't hide the way I feel about you anymore
I can't hold the hurt inside, keep the pain out of my eyes anymore
My tears no longer waiting, my resistance ain't that strong
My mind keeps recreating a life with you alone
When I shoot you in the face, I don't love you anymore

uhh, sorry but dollar bill died in a bank heist decades ago because of his cape.

He's a mamma's boy. The note was found in a FEMA trailer in front of his mamma's home, where he was living. He was married to one woman...and either married or was in the process of marrying another. She was going to "out" him for the scumbag he is. He got to her before she could do him damage. The way he did it was to shoot her in the face, in disguise on a bicycle in a very affluent section of town that see no crime in Jefferson Parish, which always solves their murders. The kicker is that if he were to pull this same stunt just a mile up the road in New Orleans...he would have gotten away with it...but not in Jefferson Parish.

His co-host on WWL 870 am, 105.3 fm in New Orleans was actually crying for him on air.

What women see in him is beyond me. He gives off a lounge lizard look with a greaseball twist.

If JPSO did the investigation and they are in court, He is done.

As an attorney, I would suggest that such a list could be construed as evidence of premeditation.

blubaldnuglee 2008-12-07 10:35:24 AM
He also forgot to have a friend drive him around for a hour or two before he was arrested, (You know, looking for the real killers.)

corgic: Well, clearly the last item on the list should have been "throw out list"

Maybe it was, but he couldn't check it off until he threw it away; and he couldn't throw it away until until he finished the list. A catch 22, if you will.

Agree with the comment but not the handle. Eastbank is so much better. ;o)

Isn't this headline a duplicate from when the story first broke?

Liz Marinello was farking insane, but didn't deserve what happened - and neither did her daughter.

Nooo... Don't think it can be. The original shooting was in in August 2006.. And this is a story about the trial.

"Why was a NOLA radio guy arrested for the shooting death of his estranged wife? Because he left a "to-do" list for the hit in his FEMA trailer, including getting a fake moustache and beard and throwing the gun away afterwards"

Though I'm pretty sure a very similar headline was submitted and not greenlit. Can't find it, not willing to go through more than two days of Farkchives.

My Springer contribution? I'm dating Marinello's dead wife's ex husband's younger brother. Whee?

My handle's outdated anyway. I live on the MS coast now :)
