i think the disconnect here is between the business and law schools. i don't understand why mba's carry such political clout, as around here business is considered one of the easiest things you can study.

"If you think about the progression of the president-elect's national career, initially he didn't have a national network of people who he could call on," said Cassandra Butts, general counsel for the transition.

Now there's a name i can believe in.

I believe you mean Regent Law School, which is much more reputable.

NYZooMan 2008-12-05 02:21:54 PM
Because Ivy Leaguers did such a fine job handling the county's fiances.

Which county's fiancés were they handling? You'd think that would have been a bigger news story.

Yeah, and law school is soooooo difficult.

We need more politicians from science/math backgrounds. Like Angela Merkel.

Law school isn't exactly easy. I mean, it's not like it's Business school or anything.

Well, because all Ivy League graduates are pretty much useless dumbf**ks - all attitude and absolutely no substance - I can't say either one of the choices is better.

Ever wonder why Silicon Valley started in California? Ever wonder why Wall Street has driven the US into the ground? A majority of the worthless went to Wall St. Even Gates left after a year because he figured out what a crock of s**t the place was.

/BTW: UC rules

Spoken like someone who's never been to law school. I mean, what could possibly be difficult about being graded on a forced curve against some of the brightest people from the country's best universities?

And yes, even your beloved science PhD's, engineering majors, chem majors, etc. here will all admit to law school being difficult.

Because if I were President, I totally wouldn't appoint people that I've known for a long time, trust, respect, and can relate to!

That'd be dumb!
