for real journalists, those two words never meet.

All journalism is opinion journalism. Read/watch the news accordingly.

Fark NRO. If they are serious about ending divisive journalism they might want to fire Jonah "All My Political Opponents Are Fascists" Goldberg and I might start to believe they mean it.

Lighten up Francis. For real grownups, we are perfectly aware of the existence of the existence of opinion journalism and are capable of hearing the phrase uttered on an opinion journalism/editorial website without getting the vapors.

Hopefully they'll purge this limp-wristed lib. The election taught us that conservatives need to be more mean spirited and exclusionary in order to win.

lets be clear though, the only people who are even engaging in this loathesome opinion journalism are those treasonous libs. they're the problem, remember that. Its not us upstanding truth abiding god fearing white protestant christian republicans, its them. They're the ones being non truthful and divisive.

The second defect is, to my mind, more serious, and it is this: Opinion journalism tends toward shrillness, mean-spiritedness, and insincerity. I feel no need to elaborate on that claim, because if you read or hear or watch even a little opinion journalism, you know what I mean.

My irony meter just detonated.

Politics being what it is, I don't expect our discipline to change. But I will say this: Barack Obama, though occasionally imperious, is a highly civil politician. He has sharp elbows - as successful politicians must - but he also has manners. He does not raise his voice. He gives an impression of earnestness and sincerity.

Has Obama done anything, anything at all, to earn the 'imperious' description from the article?

You might as well call him 'douchey' if you want to say something negative and so vague that it can never be disproven.fark NRO.

This is hilarious. This is like when you are sitting at the bar having a beer, and some asshole walks up and slaps your beer out of your hand and spits in your face. So you go to fighting, and you kick his ass, and he's flat on his butt looking up at you and says "Hey, can't we talk this over?"
America's once proud conservative movement has degenerated into a bunch of punkass bar-bullies who don't even have the balls to back their own shiat.

NRO should restrict itself to publishing purely factual reference information, much like the indispensable Boat Anchor Manual Archive provides for ham radio enthusiasts. They could even combine forces, merge their organizations. Then such calls to end divisive and intellectually dishonest opinion journalism wouldn't be bad news... for NROBAMA.

/oh, and FARK the NRO.
