9. "A Winter Symphony," Sarah Brightman. She could harp on and on. You can never have enough harps at Christmas. But what better accompaniment than ... jungle drums? "Symphony" sounds as if Brightman sang the whole thing through a frosty glass window in a VH1 video, barely holding back the tears. Or, even more harps.

Erm, what do they mean by this? Are we talking tribal rhythms here or are we talking jungle as in Amen, Apache, Tramen, etc. as in drum n bass?

Funny, songs from the more low-key albums on that list and the other nominations from this thread can all be found on a continual loop on the Sirius Christmas channel, which I am required to play 24/7 at my restaurant from Thanksgiving to Christmas.

It seems Paul McCartney's and John Lennon's Christmas songs play at least once an hour, as well as Dan Fogelburg's "Same Old Lang Syne". Oddly enough, these songs seem to decrease my Christmas spirit exponentially.

/thank god we switched satellite radio companies and our currently approved channel plays decent Christmas songs mixed in with the rest.

The chick with the grinder was just for added WTF value, not anywhere on the recording. I got this disc a couple of years ago as a joke gift. It is truly ridiculous, but it is freaking great to surreptitiously slide into the mix at other's holiday parties. The vid really does not give the full extent of its terribleness, that can only come when you get to hear the harmonies and layering of the chicken noises.
