1-9 Joe Lieberman
10. Nancy Pelosi

coco ebert [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:33:52 PM
Can't really argue with that list.

twofeetcia [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:34:24 PM
The list:

1.) Joe Lieberman
2.) Mark Penn
3.) Harry Reid
4.) Nancy Pelosi
5.) Chris Matthews
6.) Rep. John Dingell
7.) Robert Rubin
8.) Steny Hoyer (D-MD)
9.) Bill Clinton
10.) Joe Lieberman

mitchcumstein1: 1-9 Joe Lieberman
10. Nancy Pelosi

1-3 Lieberman
4-7 Harry Reid (I reside in his state and he's a crook)
8-9 Nancy Pelosi (she reminds me of a glorified realtor)

Nabb1 [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:37:21 PM
Joe Lieberman twice but no Bill Jefferson or Charlie Rangel?

The Great EZE [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:38:06 PM
Oh leave Tweety alone. He's just a talking head and not even the most offensive one on TV right now--not even close. Besides, wasn't his political affiliation ambiguous up to a couple of years ago?

It's a good list, mind you, but the choice of some random pundit was odd.

/Yes, I realize I left myself open for Chirs Crocker references.

MorrisBird [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:38:53 PM
I can't argue with the list either. Although, I would have put John Edwards in at #10 instead of Joe Lieberman for a second time. What a disappointment he turned out to be.

SnakeLee [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:39:44 PM
My only complaint is that Pelosi is on there for not ending the war and for not impeaching bush. She definitely is not the greatest Speaker, granted, but seriously she is supposed to single-handedly stop the Iraq war with a Republican president in office in his second term? Really? How many people on the face of the Earth could be put into her position and then stop the war in an effective manner? I think it's about zero.

Secondly, he faults her on not going along with Dennis "Keibler Elf" Kucinich on his articles of impeachment. Listen: Bush was not going to get impeached. These are two fairy tale policies that would never work in real life.

In fact, Kucinich should be on the list for taking a bunch of good positions and then representing them himself, thus putting them on the fringe. He is a national laughing stock and only runs for president because he is a complete attention whore. Fark him

Mordant [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:39:51 PM
Sounds fine, except that Clinton needs to exist to counterbalance the neeocons and give them a lightning rod for their constant fury and indignation.

Out of curiosity, how is Reid a crook?
You're spot on with the Pelosi characterization.

Barbara Boxer is strangely absent....

patrick767 [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:46:55 PM
I agree with most of it. Matthews certainly is an idiot. Lieberman should not be in the party anymore. I'm ticked that Obama encouraged the party to give him a pass. WTF do you have to do to be punished by the party? Walk into the Senate and actually urinate on each and every Democratic senator's leg? Would that do it?

Reid and Pelosi... they deserve to be there for being the leaders of the spineless Democratic congress. They were elected and given a majority in the hopes that they'd stand up to the Bush administration. They've done nothing of the sort.

Lionel Mandrake [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:50:01 PM
I'm OK with that list, but the only ones I am passionately disdainful of are Mark Penn and Joe Lieberman (hell, if Joe had just supported McCain by saying nice things about McCain, that would have been fine, but actually talking shiat about Obama, and other Dems was too much.)

Bill Clinton's behavior during the campaign wasn't as bad his wife's...but, yeah, the rest of the criticism is fair enough. I still like him, overall - he just pisses off the right to no end. It's childish, but I take great pleasure in that.

FlashHarry [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:50:24 PM
i'd add william jefferson and terry mcauliffe.

FlashHarry [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:51:15 PM
oh, and HILLARY CLINTON.

coco ebert [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:51:42 PM
FlashHarry: i'd add william jefferson and terry mcauliffe.

McAuliffe, I heard, is going to run for governor of Virgina.

Earguy [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:53:04 PM
Happy to see Reid and Pelosi on the list. My litmus test for Obama's sincerity in wanting cooperation in politics will be measured in whether he reins them in.

Tastes Like Chicken [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 04:53:45 PM

That was my thought exactly. Get rid of one of the Joes and get rid of Bill Clinton and add those two, and it'd be a much better list.

coco ebert: Out of curiosity, how is Reid a crook?

Among other things, this. (new window)

He's been in power for far too long. Washington tends to corrupt long term politicians, it's just the nature of the thing. Time for him to go.

AirForceVet [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 05:02:26 PM
Honestly, I'm not informed enough on nine of the 10 to question their membership. However, WTF keeps Rep. William J. Jefferson (D-Crook) in office?

AirForceVet: Honestly, I'm not informed enough on nine of the 10 to question their membership. However, WTF keeps Rep. William J. Jefferson (D-Crook) in office?

Ignorance and racism. He's in a run-off against a Republican this weekend. A Vietnamese Republican. Barring a freak blizzard, it will be a landslide in Jefferon's favor.

Angry Drunk Bureaucrat [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 05:06:29 PM
Nabb1: Joe Lieberman twice but no Bill Jefferson or Charlie Rangel?

Yeah, but if you compare it to the 10 Republicans list, you'll see that it's a list of people that should "Go Away" and not "Be forcibly locked away".

Diogenes [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 05:11:09 PM

I asked the same thing. I wouldn't shed a tear if Barney Frank and John Corzine joined them.

Can't argue with that list. Politics (and the world) would be better off if that crew wasn't around. As Mark Twain said, the trouble isn't that there are so many fools, it's that lightning isn't distributed right.

SpeshilEdjukashin [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 05:12:31 PM
TFA: Yes, Joe Leiberman is such a dick head, he's on the list twice.

Imminent far-left meltdown is imminent.

R.A.Danny [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 05:13:30 PM
I know tis is national level, but may I please include Todd Stroger?

Mordant [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 05:13:59 PM
I actually like Jefferson also, only because he was so obviously and blatantly guilty. Let's face it, the "conservatives" always took tremendous pride and personal pleasure from watching Republicans rub America's face in shiat with outrageous antics. The worse it got, the more joyfully they defended it. Jefferson is the payback for seven years of that.

LOL. And Dems are terrified of Palin, and Obama is an unexperienced empty suit that will get trounced by the manly war hero!

I'm from New Jersey, and I have a theory on this... I think Jon Corzine actually died in the back of that speeding black SUV on his way to scold Don Imus, and the NJ State Troopers sprinkled some sort of Zombie Dust on his mangled corpse to revive him.

patrick767: Lieberman should not be in the party anymore. I'm ticked that Obama encouraged the party to give him a pass.

I'm surprised he didn't put Obama on the list. His standards for who should be allowed to be a Democrat are as high as yours.

Reid and Pelosi... they deserve to be there for being the leaders of the spineless Democratic congress. They were elected and given a majority in the hopes that they'd stand up to the Bush administration. They've done nothing of the sort.

Reid and Pelosi were 'elected' by the Democratic caucuses, not their constituents, to be Speaker and Majority Leader. As always, the most important things to politicians are re-election, adding seats and power, and RE-ELECTION. They were spectacularly successful in that.

Does Obama need to goose them into action...

Earguy: Happy to see Reid and Pelosi on the list. My litmus test for Obama's sincerity in wanting cooperation in politics will be measured in whether he reins them in.

... or rein them in? Everybody sees what they don't want in Reid and Pelosi.

I'm sure you find that clever, but the guy represents my district, and he is such a pariah in DC, that we effectively have no representation right now. And it's not about Democrat or Republican. A Republican is not going to win this district anytime soon. So, when I see idiots around here voting for this guy, even over a number of qualified Democrats in the primary, it's pretty aggravating.

amazing how simple it is to solve every problem in your little world. I bet getting rid of all the libs would even help with the skidmarks in your shorts, huh ?

I'm also from NJ. It's like it has an inverted political spectrum. They produce dismal Democrats and decent Republicans (IMHO of course). I liked Fenwick, loved Kean and Whitman. Jim Courter would be my GOP exception.

Another vote here for Dollar Bill Jefferson (D-LA).

Unfortunately Nabb1 is correct. Racism and ignorance is going to propell him to another term this Saturday. Oh well.

Because she's worse than Lieberman who split from the party on a bad war and badmouthed the best democratic candidate we've had since McGovern? And then acted like it was totally natural the party didn't punish him?

stuffandwhatnot [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 05:50:19 PM
Classic that he calls Lieberman a "dick head" and puts him on the list twice. Can't find any good arguments to take anybody off of this list.

I can appreciate that Obama is keeping a level head and looking at the big picture and all. But man do I wish he'd tossed us a bone on Lieberman.

Should be able to do it now. He isn't the swing vote now.

No Dianne Feinstein or Barbara Boxer? I'm disappointed. I was really expecting more than just Pelosi to represent California on the list.

Just moved back to CA (from AZ), so I went from one Senator I mostly liked (McCain's a better Senator than Presidential candidate) and one lickspittle party toady to two Senators I strongly dislike for different reasons.

Feinstein...I understand why she's so pro-gun-control (getting a promotion because an ex-coworker killed your boss and another coworker can do that), but that doesn't mean I agree with her. Way too heavy on the authoritarian side for my tastes.

Boxer, on the other hand, just has delusions of adequacy.

Gosling [TotalFark] 2008-12-04 05:55:31 PM
My list:

1- William Jefferson
2- John Murtha
3- Harry Reid
4- Joe Lieberman (we're counting him as democrat still? Fine)
5- Michael Moore
6- Geraldine Ferraro
7- Mark Penn
8- Robert Byrd
9- Rod Blagojevich
10- Maxine Waters

Lieberman voted for the war and then stuck with his decision. While you may not agree, at least it shows some strength of character. That's better than the goddamn Democrat traitors in Congress who voted for it only to feign an anti-war stance later as a means to get elected. Fark them all - the list should have included every last incumbent from both parties.
