What boggles the mind is that even though the REPUBLICAN governor of Hawaii has declared the matter closed, the wingnuts continue to pursue it. They have an unshakeable faith that Obama absolutely must not be a natural-born American citizen, and by God if only someone would listen to them they'd be able to prove it.

If his mother was an American, then by law Obama is an American no matter where he was born. He could have been born in Greenland and he'd still be an American, and as qualified to be President as anyone born in the US itself.

I said this at the beginning of the whole story, but I'll say it again. In order to believe that this is true, I have to believe that Hillary Clinton, who according to the same people supporting this "birth certificate story" say slightly trails Stalin in the thirst for power category, either somehow missed this fact in her campaign's exhaustive digging into Obama's background, or decided that it was not a good idea to pursue something that would eliminate her only primary opponent from contention. But, this one guy figured it all out. Riiiiiiight.
