Didn't some mysterious figure do that by way of some white powder a few years ago? If it worked on Senators, it should work on the Supreme Court.

This should end well.

Wasn't Obama born in Hawaii?
Hawaii was a state back then. At least one of his parents was an American. How is his claim of citizenship in question?

Maybe I'm just a loony liberal, but I don't understand. Also, if this was a valid concern, why didn't either Hillary or McCain's campaigns use this?

Impeaching Bush:

1. There is plenty of evidence to convict him on.
2. It woulkd show the world we won't tolerate what he's done
3. It will hopefully make future presidents think twice about doing the same things

Trying to "out" Obama as a non-American:
1. Has no evidence behind it
2. Would show the world we're obsessed wit hthe trivial
3. Would cause future elections to be even stupider

The two are completely different.

He wasn't born in Hawaii. The documentation he's shown is obviously forged, and the people who have vouched for him are obviously lying, because he was born in Kenya. When will Barry Hussein Obama come out with the Truth?

Do they honestly think this will do anything? It's not like raising a stink with a congressman or a senator who may have reelection in mind.

Ok, I'm not sure what the USSC does with these things but a bunch of assbaskets complaining to the SC isn't really what one would call controlling legal authority or precedent

shivashakti: Hawaii was a state back then. At least one of his parents was an American. How is his claim of citizenship in question?

No! You see, what happened is that he was born on a trip to Kenya. And, you see, he was smuggled in a series of crates to Hawaii, and after spending over a quarter million in bribes to state and hospital officials, they made it look like he was born right there! And in light of all that, just because his momma was born here, it doesn't mean anything! She's a criminal!

He admitted to violating the constitution himself.

Warrantless wiretaps? Ring a bell? BLATANT disregard for the 4th amendment?

Suspension of Habeus Corpus? Keeping people in jail with no trial?

We have PLENTY of evidence for these things. All of which violate the constitution.

How much domestic liberal terrorism did we experience during Bush? I know most liberals wanted to kill him... does this make us wimps, or civil-minded, tolerant people?

ALF and ELF were particularly active.

What boggles the mind is that even though the REPUBLICAN governor of Hawaii has declared the matter closed, the wingnuts continue to pursue it. They have an unshakeable faith that Obama absolutely must not be a natural-born American citizen, and by God if only someone would listen to them they'd be able to prove it.

mediaho 2008-12-04 08:54:44 AM
The entirety of the GOP and Clinton machines couldn't prove this but with his impeccable track record, Internet Conspiracy Investigator is gonna crack the case. Good luck with that.

This is the best they've got. Thanks for validating my vote.

If his mother was an American, then by law Obama is an American no matter where he was born. He could have been born in Greenland and he'd still be an American, and as qualified to be President as anyone born in the US itself.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

He tapped people's phones WITHOUT A WARRANT.

Sounds pretty cut and dried to me.

nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law;

Again, holding people for YEARS without a trial... sounds pretty cut and dried to me.

Who the hell is gonna argue that his actions were constitutional.

I said this at the beginning of the whole story, but I'll say it again. In order to believe that this is true, I have to believe that Hillary Clinton, who according to the same people supporting this "birth certificate story" say slightly trails Stalin in the thirst for power category, either somehow missed this fact in her campaign's exhaustive digging into Obama's background, or decided that it was not a good idea to pursue something that would eliminate her only primary opponent from contention. But, this one guy figured it all out. Riiiiiiight.

You're joking, right? You can't seriously believe this.
I mean, he wrote his autobiography well before he was really well-known and especially before running for President and it's all about how he only met his father once, when he was a kid.

I mean, he goes to Kenya as an adult to meet his family. But it's his first time there. Why is it so hard to believe that he's from Hawaii?

Granted, he doesn't look like Don Ho, but this is really really stretching.

I'm glad this important issue has come up. If you're a Republican you should do everything in your power to publicize it. It should be a plank in the Republican platform in 2010. If you don't push this you're a RINO.
