Meh, who ever heard of a good band coming out of London anyway?

FTFA: The form demands that licensees give police a mass of detail, including the names, aliases, private addresses and phone numbers of all musicians and other performers appearing at their venue, and the ethnic background of the likely audience.
Failure to comply could mean the loss of a licence or even a fine and imprisonment.

Oooooooh yeah - this should go over well.

It's almost like London watched Demolition Man and tried to emulate that future.

If I had a time machine I'd have an internal struggle wheter to set it to early Kinks gig or early Jay Ward Mr. Peabody and his boy Sherman brainstorming session.

This! this is freaking borderline racist!

When they kick at your front door, how you gonna come?

This would be really lame.

Sweet,
Feargal's my 2nd cousin, It's pretty cool he's standing up for this. It makes up for those shiatty solo albums from the 80's.

Well, if they aren't healthy or safe you know the Brits aren't gonna go for it...

I came here to submit this, and am glad to see someone else did.

As a performing musician, I am absolutely outraged. I can honestly say that if this law passes, I will not be performing in London anytime soon. I recently turned down two invitations by bands to go on tour in Europe/The UK because I am too busy with other projects.

That really sucks. It was always kind of a dream of mine to play London, but I'd rather not give up the civil liberties I enjoy in America to do so.

Good thing the GOP has been sidelined for a couple of years, since GOPers suck brits dicks, this kind of policy would be in the states too.

WTF was that all about?

I don't understand a government trying to take over every aspect of a citizen's life in the name of security. What I don't understand is how the citizens of the UK is just sitting idle while this happens.

I guess the Brits with balls fled to the Americas generations ago, eh?

Too ignorant to even dispute rationally. I only pray your ignorance and dementia aren't contagious. We don't need more people like you around here.

What happened to you, England?
You used to be cool.

British Musicians paid up 90% tax rate in the 60s.

the British Invasion was really the British Evasion.

the sad part is this shiat happens in uk, and some rubber in congress says look how good it worked-THINK OF THE CHILDREN..and the next thing you know- you need a blood sample and a social security number to get into concerts

I came here for a discussion on how awesome the Undertones were.

Leaving disappointed.

FTFA: The police say they need the information demanded on Form 696, which runs to eight pages, so they can pinpoint which acts and venues attract troublemakers, and make sure venues are safe.

Oh, so they're going to do this with football too, right?

Right?

*crickets*

Except they were all Americans pretending to be British.

What happened this morning when the guy posted the inappropriate picture. Why did he do that? Ruined my morning coffee!

jerkobson: I came here for a discussion on how awesome the Undertones were.

Does it even need to be said? That's like discussing how awesome beer is. Or donuts.
