I saw 'em on the second leg of the reunion tour (three quarters original, one quarter inevitable), after Eddie's little break, and they were very good. Eddie was having a blast, and Roth was much more athletic than in the clips from the first couple of shows.

As for Alex and Lumpy, well, who really cares?

Eddie on the sauce (seen on the internet) versus off of it and on a guitar magazine cover (in a store) made me do a double take.

He does have kinda smallish hands (big palms, short fingers). Then again, so do I. Thank goodness for the EBMM EVH (or Axis). Most comfortable guitar neck on the planet.

Michael Anthony is one of the best background vocalists in rock. All the unreal VH harmonies are him and he could do them live. How the fark they let him go after all his loyalty to the band and replace him with Wolfgang is beyond me.
