Someone needs to hurry up and post something about how it's only a matter of time before someone posts an anti-Muslim comment, and then somebody else needs to follow that up with a comment about how nobody has made an anti-Muslim comment yet until you did, dumbass, and then somebody else needs to post about it being ironic that Muslims are only now worrying about their religion being besmirched, and then somebody else can post about that being the anti-Muslim comment we were waiting for, and then somebody else can say that wasn't really anti-Muslim, it was just fact, and then somebody else can say something about the Oklahoma City bombing, and then somebody else can say that's a stupid comparison, and then somebody else can say religion sucks, and somebody else can use the "invisible sky fairy" line, and somebody else can say 9/11, and then we'll be like 15 posts in and somebody will say something about some moran summarizing the thread and then there will be a quiet moment of calm and then the hurricane can begin.

It's a little late to apologize. This attack couldn't happen without a substancial amount of muslims knowing about it. Why didn't any of them talk? We just needed one to go to the police.

And somebody bankrolled this. That was at least $100,000 worth of weapons they used.

On behalf of sane Christians everywhere, I condemn the unjustified invasion of Iraq.

Now, will that asshole Swampthing in Korea and his marginally less assholish friend Dancin_in_Anson start insulting Christians now?

Amazingly enough, tarring a whole religion because of the actions of some of its members is a truly dumb move.

It's sad how people basically define things they don't like based on whatever is different then they are.

If it was Christians doing it they would find something else to define the attack other than religion.

You're so full of crap. When has it EVER been 60 Christian gunmen overrunning hotels?

The truth is what it is and this moral equivalence is the intellectual dishonesty that allows these fanatical types to continue justifying these types of attacks.

We are told time and again by wild eyed fundies around the globe - in civilized societies and barbaric and backward fundielands like Iran - that Islam is a "political system" as much as it is a religion. So you're not doing a good job of distancing Islam from reprehensible terrorism by claim the attacks were "politically" motivated.

I mean other than 8000 year old tribal wars in Africa, where are hordes of Christians/Jews/Hindus/Athiests flying planes into buildings, slaughtering hotel guests, blowing up Bali or whatever else they do.

Keep lying to yourself if it helps you sleep, just don't lie to us.

Well.. I did read the article. And guess what? They SHOULD be worried. And they should get off their arses and do something about it. If they don't want the Muslim faith to be defined by these terriorists then they need to stop them.

We can't. As soon as someone like me says something then we are anti-muslim and a bigot. So how about policing your own?

So it wasn't Lashkar-e-CIA-ba this time?

Actually here is an interesting article

The sources said Kasab explained that the training was divided into seven phases. "He said the first phase was of 'very hard physical training' of three months which included running 10 to 15 km. The next three months were for marine training like swimming, surfing, diving and boating in high seas. The rest included arms and ammunition training,' said a source.

Actually the russians are already saying the training given by US special ops to ISI/Pak military might have propagated to the terrorists.

FTFA:senseless terrorism

I hate the use of the term "senseless" whenever something violent happens. You read it all the time: a "senseless act of violence," "a senseless killing," ad nauseam. They are invariably not senseless and usually have a direct purpose.

The attack in Mumbai is not senseless. The terrorists, it is purported, disagree with Indian involvement in Kashmir and thus committed these acts to put pressure on the government to withdraw. The attack was vile, it was stupid, it was cowardly, and, I hope, it will ultimately be ineffective. It is not, however, senseless. To say so oversimplifies the whole situation and cheapens the lives of the victims.

/Senseless rant off

FTFA: "It's all right for Muslims to set the infidels' castles on fire, drown them with water .... and take some of them as prisoners, whether young or old, women or men, because it is one of many ways to beat them," he wrote in the al-Fallujah forum.

Y'know, it doesn't take much research to figure out that the Serbian Orthodox Christian Church was deeply implicated in the Bosnian genocide, but from some reasons, Christians in the West don't seem to associate violence with Christianity, or Hinduism with violence after the Gujarat massacres. Perhaps this is a good thing--I wouldn't take these Qaedan rantings as anything more representative of Islam than the Serbians are of Christianity or the BJP is of Hinduism. Any religious, political, or economic paradigm will produce its nutcases.
