The guy was smart, though. Take cheap crap (it is really hard to make a crappy vodak) and put it in a nice bottle. Then serve it at nice clubs, have a few celebrities drink it, and bam. Now you have suckers who pay $30 for something they can buy for $8. Sort of like TotalFark.

My dad makes something called a Bloody Bull with tomato juice, beef bouillon, celery seed, tabasco, lemon and lime juice...with or without the vodka it's good.

I love Bloody Marys. In fact I had one this morning with breakfast.

But I don't like Tabasco in mine. Horseradish is plenty spicy for me. Also the key is to put two to three times the amount of Worcester sauce you normally would and a slice of fresh lemon.

Why drink a Bloody Mary? Because it tastes like a meal, which is why it is a popular morning after drink. My recipe:

The night before:
add to 1 quart V8 juice:
1 tblsp chopped garlic
1 tsp fresh ground pepper
1/2 tsp worstershire sauce
1/2 tsp red pepper sauce or more according to taste (not Tabasco brand red pepper sauce - too vinegar-y)
Shake vigorously
Allow to sit overnight to meld ingredients

to mix:
Shake V8 mix vigorously
Serve 1 part vodka 2 parts V8 mix over ice in a highball glass
garnish with olive, celery stock, and pickled aspargus stalk

Enjoy!

Worschestershire sauce. Yes. That's in the Bloody Bull too. And he sometimes added smoked salt. Mix, chill, drink very cold.

To those of you who say "eewww, gross..." you'll like them when you're of legal age, and hung over.

My recipe:

4 oz vodka
1 oz Dry Vermouth (yep, kinda like a martini)
dash of dill pickle juice
dash of olive juice
1-2 dashes of habanero sauce
2 dashes Worcestershire
1 dash salt
1 dash pepper
8-10 oz tomato juice
shake vigorously w/ ice
Pour into glass
Garnish w/ 2 garlic-stuffed olives

Serves 1

Horseradish is great in Caesars; try it if you haven't yet. You will not be disappointed (unless you hate horseradish, but then you've got bigger problems).

Asparagus works as a great substitute for celery stalks.

Also, if you're a skewer user try feta. It's great with Caesars.

in a rocks glass over ice, combine:
1 1/2 shot vodka
1 cup Heinz 57 steak sauce
garnish with 1 cube of rare steak

Forget the Worcestershire.
Try A1 or HP
It rounds out the taste
