Not nearly as weird as the Holiday Inn Express I stayed at last night.

Until I read TFA, I wasn't aware that giraffes have sugar to give. I will bear that in mind on my next visit to the zoo.

Just as aside, did anyone else see the really, really cool (because it was entirely misleading) Holiday Inn Express commercial with the guy and his dry-cleaning and gets into a free-style rap fight with some guys?

/I seriously was taken aback

I realize I missed some words there in the initial post... but yeah, I only saw it once, and when it got to the reveal, I laughed out loud and simply thought of how clever that commercial was for its deception.

They missed this one:

They forgot the one that's a bomb shelter converted into three rooms--two bedrooms and one living room. Each of the bedrooms sleeps 8 people to varying degrees of comfort (from a cot to a king size bed--you spin a bicycle wheel to see which you get), and the bedtime is set by taking the average number of hours of sleep everyone wants and subtracting that from the mandatory 7am wake-up call.

/would find a link but laziness prohibits.
//might still be able to find it on the NPR website if you're interested
/run by artists

I must have missed the Bruce Campbell reference.
I didn't see anything that reminded me of him.

Except for MeltyKiss: Gimmie some sugar baby.

Seriously, if that's a cartoon-ized Bruce Campbell, where he hell is his prodigious chin?

BTW, thanks. Now I'll be forced to watch the Army of Darkness instead of study for my finals tomorrow.

Slightly weird hotel: A friend and I once stayed at a small family run hotel/motel in WV. We checked in on a Saturday night, drank a couple bottles of wine, and passed out. The next morning, the desk clerk came to the door to wake us up to go to church, and he wasn't going to take no for an answer. We could have used a few more hours of sleep, but we got out of there 5 minutes later.

Really weird hotel: Back in the 90's, we were traveling, got very tired, and decided to stop and take in the sights, sounds and marvels of Branson. Yea, that Branson. We thought it would be a hoot. We went to a motel to get a room. They didn't have any rooms available with two beds, just ones with one queen size bed. We didn't give a fark, but they would not let two men share a room with only one bed. We asked why and the dude at the desk got all indignant and would not give us an answer, he just stared at us. We kept asking why not, and he said if we didn't leave, he would call the police. We decided to leave, not knowing if MO had anti gay laws or something and didn't want trouble. We found another, much nicer motel just down the road that had no problem taking our money. Laugh factor of Branson on a scale of 0 to 100: 101.
