I'm wondering if the majority were Democrats hoping for an easy win. Can't say I blame 'em.

Corrupted_Monk [TotalFark] 2008-11-30 11:15:49 AM
Isn't that the same number of people who believe Iraq was behind 9-11?

Yes, please run Sarah. That way Obama won't even have to *try*

Rush (and FOX) gave us democrats the idea of stuffing the ballots for Hillary, now we can do the same to bolster Caribou Barbi.

Simply by leaving her in the public spotlight, so too will the mouth-breathing GOP'ers figure that she must be special and worthy of leading the free world.

I say, bring 'er on.

Bauer [TotalFark] 2008-11-30 11:24:42 AM
let's face it...

she's a democrats wet dream.

-run baby run!

hubiestubert [TotalFark] 2008-11-30 11:42:59 AM
As a Republican, I wouldn't mind.

Because if Obama has a strong four years, then she'll do her duty, fall on her sword, sort of like Bob Dole did for Clinton, and clear the way for someone like Olympia Snowe--who I'd really like to see go for the Big Chair.

Con_Authority [TotalFark] 2008-11-30 11:43:52 AM
Honestly, by 2012, she'll be overweight, nearly toothless and have two more kids. She won't be appealing to mainstream America by then. Oh wait, she isn't right now!

Be careful what you wish for. I'm old enough to remember 1976...and people said many of the same things about Reagan that they are saying about Palin. But Todd is no Nancy.

kaminariko [TotalFark] 2008-11-30 11:55:09 AM
Whatever.

Republicans aren't going to ignore someone who grabs headlines. As long as she's in the primaries, there will be press to follow the GOP candidates.

It will also be interesting to see who Democrats offer up for sacrifice to the Fourth Estate.

Lessons learned, part 1:

a) All candidates should be forced to verify their citizenship before the election rather than waiting for a Supreme Court review in December.

b) Other minimum qualifications should be established. Hell, we have security checks, drug tests and better security at private corporations. We might just reach the conclusion that the person in charge of the red button should go through some sort of qualification process before they even get to run. I mean, really people - do you see what letting a moron run the country has done? We simply cannot let the mouth-breathers put up idiots and dim-bulbs because one might win again, and then we get more of 2000-2008.

They do, it's called "the primaries."

Obama's citizenship is established. Dumb shiats from the far right are just being their usual attention whoring, asshole selves.

I have no problem with the Republicans putting a clown on their ticket in order to give everyone some lulz and to ensure a second Obama term.

I've got a strong hunch she'll be the first broad President.

I would vote for her. She's a reasonable person, appears to be fiscally conservative...she's exemplifies what I was reared to think of as a "real Republican."

GAT_00 [TotalFark] 2008-11-30 12:07:04 PM

I'll campaign for her. She is a great Senator. She is in a long line of strong Maine women. I worked on her campaign when I was in college, and I'd be glad to do it again. She, I think, represents where the party needs to be looking. No gimmicks, no flash in the pans, but hard working folks who've done a great job for their states, and served the country well.

Yeah, I think she should too. That would be so freaking awesome to watch.

CravenMorehead 2008-11-30 12:31:32 PM
I'd love to see her run in 2012. The question they might want to start asking is whether anyone wants her to actually be president. That number should be about the same as the number of people that think Bush is doing a good job.

It's a neat thought, but I don't think it's realistic to expect her household go next 3 years without imploding.

TFA: "The telephone poll was taken Nov. 5-16 and included 799 Republicans and GOP-leaning independents, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points."

bwahahaha -- They didn't even ask Dems what they thought.

Please by all means, go for it.

Wow, I didn't realize 67% of the US are Democrats.

Interesting.

Tell that to the media, I can't remember picking up a paper or watching 3 minutes of news without seeing or hearing her name from the second she was named running mate until a day or two after the election.

Anyways, it will be Jindal in 2008 for the republicans, after the amazing job he's done in Louisiana.

From some of the things I've read from the right about her, I think that she's also caused a far share of republican wet dreams as well.
