I thought both performances were outstanding.

It's not the years. It's the mileage.

She's got a lot less apparent mileage on her than some of Hollywood's Botox Babes ;)

Didn't see it, and can't watch at work, but did she cover "Tool" or does she have her own song called "Sober"?

She can cover my tool.

I'm sorry, it's just automatic and involuntary.

This will be the moment E! can use during a bio that Annie became a "certified diva." I thought the performance was okay (my buddies and I did have a few laughs at her expense) but her speech was really nice. I was glad to hear her thank her band mate and dedicate half the award to him. Very classy. You dont see enough of that. Im looking at you Debbie Harry.

I don't know that there is one of that performance up yet. looked on ABC's website and they have nothing. killer live cut though. and her duet with Sara MacLachlan was good too.

I Like Bread: Where've you been the last 20 years?

Growing up. From what I can tell (a result of watching alot of tv) to become a "diva" you must have a defining moment when you are old. This seemed to be that moment. Cant say I have followed her career very closely.

OnePalmTree 2008-11-24 12:16:31 PM
Annie's performance brought me to tears...Phenomenal woman, musical Goddess, and humble about the whole thing! She's brilliant, and she's better than diva!!

Thank you Annie for the music!

I'm so sick of this hack.

Try to listen to any of her solo records without wincing from it's overproduced and dated sound.

I'm excusing the Eurythmics.

Ah, the AMAs. Where dancing, fashion, and popularity are more important than the music.

Like I said, she's an above-average singer with maybe 2 good albums.

Milli Vanilli has a Grammy, too.

And neither YOU nor I have Grammys (what the hell kind of a stupid argument is that ? "Show us yours", sheez)

She's not a great composer, nor is she a great performer. Her songs sold because they were pop, nobody is ever going to be calling "Walking On Broken Glass" a masterpiece.

I think her songs sold because she has a distinctive voice that stands above the mediocrity of today's 'pop' singers.

at 53, she's crossed a few

Maybe you're too insecure but I like older women, subtard. I'd hit it and then let her sing to me.

/she's only 9 months older than me, but it's still older

What the article doesn't say, though, is whether she forded the rivers, caulked the wagon and floated it across, took the ferry, or waited for conditions to improve.

I am not an Annie Lennox fan by any stretch of the imagination, but man you sound like a tit. I know you're trying to flaunt your superiority here, but you're really flaunting your ignorance. 29 years old and never heard Annie Lennox or the Eurythmics, artists with several multi-platinum albums? Must get dusty living under that bed. Here's a tidbit of info to start you off - Marilyn Manson didn't write Sweet Dreams are Made of These.

Not a big fan but I do love "I Need You" off Savage.
Sorry, couldn't find a link to the song anywhere.

Just because some of you vacuous douchbags have no idea who Annie is doesn't mean she sucks. Nor is she a hack, or average.

TALENT

- something you wastes of space will never understand nor possess.

Go climb a tree, squint your beady eyes and try to bullshiat everyone about how flat the earth is.

Fark-ish losers. God some of you people make me sick. Respect this or DIAF
