A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack.

Well, sometimes the best defense is a good offense. Know who said that?

Warning labels are my geeky weakeness. I love the shadow figures.

I love the one on the power sprayers, where one shadow man is spraying the other shadow man (who happens to be dressed in overalls).

I also like the one on golf carts, where the shadow driver takes a turn too fast, and the shadow passenger goes flying out.

There's also the classic shadow man falling down the stairs, or catching on fire. Those are awesome.

Not a warning label but had to be said:
toothpicks- Hold stick near centre of its length. Moisten pointed end in mouth. Insert in tooth space, blunt end next to gum. Use gentle in-out motion.

My mother bought a can of generic mixed nuts. The front of the can label had "Deluxe Mixed Nuts" in bold letters. Beneath, in a slightly smaller font it trumpeted "No more than 70% peanuts".
The ingredients listed on the back included cashews, brazil nuts, almonds, etc. The allergy warning (in small print) stated: "WARNING! MAY contain tree nuts and/or peanuts". Good thing we were warned.

tevys 2008-11-23 05:32:31 PM

For the longest time St Joseph's Aspirin for Children had a label which advised not to operate heavy machinery after using.

Was there some fatal Tonka Truck accident I was unaware of?

And then there's the label on the electic blow dryer warning people not to use the device in the shower....

Saw that on my Ambien fact/warning sheet and LOL'd -- dude, isn't that what they're supposed to do?

Not funny, not worthy of an article, not worthy of greenlight.

Author is an idiot.
Subby is an Idiot.

Now I'm wasting even more time writing a comment explaining my dissatisfaction at having my time wasted in the first place.

Damn you subby. Damn you.

You know when you have medication that makes you drowsy they print the warning label "do not operate heavy machinery while under the influence of this medication." The way I feel do not operate heavy machinery EVER. It's farkin' heavy. Just put it down and back the fark up. Operate some light machinery, like a stapler. Put the forklift away. -Mitch

open soda away from face
