FTFA: As a presidential candidate, the former Illinois senator quickly adopted the nickname "No Drama Obama" for the meticulous level of prudence he applied to nearly every campaign speech, strategy decision and personnel appointment.

Prudence and caution? zOMG ONOES!11!1!!

If the talking heads have to 'report' on anything outside of talk-show scandal material, what will they do? Of course they're opposed to Obama's vetting process.

Yes! CNN showing its prejudice toward FARK ie "Not News". Just like calling Colorado, VA, PA swing states to report how the race was so close.

Or, if it IS snark, it's just really really badly done. Like Sarah Palin bad.

Cautious? Careful? Prudent? Sounds conservative to me. Barack Obama, a true conservative for change you can believe in.

Jimmy carter's swollen hemoroids:

Go play in traffic or something. You couldn't make a point about anything if your life depended on it other than you don't like Obama.

Lawnchair 2008-11-22 05:21:23 PM
Damned if the guy isn't pulling in the wonks.

SecState (Clinton) who knows plenty about domestic issues
SecCommerce (Richardson) who knows plenty about foreign, energy, and state govt.
SecDHS (Napolitano) who has been a Federal prosecutor, and a governor of a border state.
SecHHS (Daschle) who has who has wheeled and dealed in Congress.

Possible names like Reich back at Labor, who knows plenty about economics. Sebelius at Interior or Energy who also was a governor and insurance commissioner...

Obama is not apparently scared to have a bunch of serious President-level people in the Cabinet. I'd think it would be a lot more interesting to be a fly on that wall than one of Bush's perfunctory meetings. We'll see how it governs.

Wrong_Intentions 2008-11-22 05:22:53 PM
fark the Obama applicants. I'm trying to get an entry-level job with the TSA right now and I had to fill out paperwork describing every moment of my life. I don't mind 'cause I could really use the job. If these guys wanna be hot shiat in the Executive Branch, they can have the same attitude. Otherwise, TS.

Kevin72 2008-11-22 05:24:51 PM
Poor GaryPDX. Two people refute his inanity, and that has him wetting his pants saying his snark was famous. Actually in this case, it was worth it to feed the troll.

Is that what the Secretary of State does now? Domestic issues?

Most informed people know that the Sec of State's job is foreign affairs.

/go ahead keep going you were on a roll

His cabinet is going to mostly a joke, except for Richardson. (I would have voted for him for POTUS)

Obama knows that the media are going to turn on him like rabid dogs once it becomes clear that he does not, in fact, posess the ability to make everything better merely by his presence. And like any prudent person who knows that the bureaucracy is looking for any opportunity to screw him over, he's making sure that every i is dotted and t is crossed.

We didn't get over it because, get this, george bush was a TERRIBLE president. Obama hasn't even been in office yet. Quit your whining.

generaltimmy 2008-11-22 05:43:37 PM
Yeah, Holder, the Goebbels of EMILY's list, Clinton and a bunch of Clinton retreads aren't scandalworthy enough.

Hopefully, this vetting process will go better than that which he does for his friends/pastors.

Actually, there was only a few months of that, then we all got to watch him and the GOP Congress destroy the country in new and inventive ways.

So in short, why do you hate America?

Huh? They already leak like the SS Minnow.

It's the Chicago Dem thug machine plus Clintons. Lots of scandal gold in them there hills to come.

NONE of it will be Obama's fault, though.

I'm one of those that still believes the election was rigged. I didn't start hating bush until after 9/11. I even capitalized his name.

Now I'm looking forward to the day when I can piss on his grave. If Obama screws the pooch like bush did, we'll probably all be dead before I get the chance.

TheGreatGazoo 2008-11-22 05:48:02 PM
I can understand some of what they are saying.

On one hand, if you have to go to the proctologist to pass Obama's vetting process for a job that really doesn't pay all that much, it probably is worth it to stay in the private sector and not give it a second thought.

On the other hand, If it eliminates some douchebags maybe it is worth it.

I'd suspect that most qualified people have some sort of skeleton in their closet. Do you really want the 'Church Lady' class making decisions about your lives?

You're right, how incredibly shameful of us to question a president who has resided over two questionable military campaigns, the greatest increase in our national debt, the destruction of our foreign image, and one of the lowest approval ratings of president ever.

It's a lot like questioning a guy's ability to lead before he even takes office.

Oh don't worry, Chairman Obama will provide plenty of reasons for the USA to hate him.

Just wait for the tax increase, let alone the "redistribution of wealth".
