Great. She can link to a review by someone else, who didn't actually mention once in the "review" if the movie's plot and waited until the last sentence to mention the film itself...

So, this is what folks are reduced to? Promoting films solely on the basis that the actors are ideologically correct? Fantastic. And we're going to promote those ideologically correct reviews, as opposed to seeing those films ourselves?

Michelle is more of an embarrassment every damn day.

FTFA: Sounds like a fabulous, uplifting film. Enjoy!

I read that whole thing, and I don't have a CLUE what the movie is about. Seriously. From the poster, it looks like a movie about a music band of some sort, but the reviewer doesn't even mention what genre the film is. I have no idea if this is a horror movie, a romantic comedy, a Micheal Bay-esque shiat-blows-up, or a biography of Rudolph Hess.

It's about a Doo Wop group that goes around the country fighting crimes using rugged individualism and personal responsibility.

Finally, a movie by Robert Davi, a man known for such cinematic masterpieces as Cops and Robbersons, The Hot Chick, Call Me: The Rise and Fall of Heidi Fleiss and Showgirls.

Robert Davi is wonderful in Showgirls as the slimy manager who says, "It must be weird not having people come on you."

Yeah I was gonna ask does this mean that Showgirls is now on the list of Malkin-approved movies? Does Pedo Bear approve?

Well we all know the film won't do well because the liberals have infiltrated the theater industry and will credit ticket sales to other movies.

Wow, I would have thought Malkin would have the very latest talking points. She's still using the old and busted "Islamofascism?" I would have thought this guy would have been called a "strong advocate against CommunoMarxist-Socialist-Collectivist-Internatio-defeatism"

Really? I mean, I know they believe in some whacked out shiat, but they honestly think the 17 year old selling tickets is in on the Vast Liberal Conspiracy?

Don't forget the refusal to release popcorn sales numbers to further embolden foreign snackmakers and discredit "real Americans" who farm the heartland.

That was the rationale for that Michael Moore parody tanking.

Oh, I don't actually care what the movie is about. I'm just saying if I read a REVIEW of the film, I should be able to tell if it's an animated children's movie about dinosaurs, or a futuristic action movie.

Because that shiat is sillier than thinking being able to see Russia from your house makes you a foreign ppolicy expert.

You're one of the few that actually reads that tripe. Don't ask me why there is a link to that garbage 3-7 times a week, but I'm guessing she has a "special arrangement with Fark".

UnrepentantApostate 2008-11-21 11:08:35 AM
Whenever I see the Malkin sign to the left of the headline, it always looks like a scalpel coming out of the screen at you.

I suppose this is a rather accurate depiction of what her words are intended to do, spring to some ghastly sort of life and cut you like the miserable, godless creature she imagines you to be.

Bucky Katt [TotalFark] 2008-11-21 11:09:21 AM

Hey, I happen to like Cops and Robbersons (or I did the last time I saw it, when I was 12).

I disagree. I feel like mentioning the plot ruins the movie. I just want to know if it's good or not.

Wight Power [TotalFark] 2008-11-21 11:17:57 AM
"Davi's The Dukes, which opens nationally on November 21, has racked up numerous awards, including the Jury Prize for Best Screenplay at the Monte-Carlo Film Festival, the Queens Spirit Award for Best Producer and Best Director, among others. Rarely is a movie with this pedigree able to be enjoyed by such a broad audience, but The Dukes tells a wonderful story."

I'm all for indie movies (not saying this film is one) but this reviewer hasn't seen shiat, apparently. Then again, the reviewer is from Town Hall, so maybe that should be obvious... Malkin's endorsement sure doesn't help make this film sound like something I'd want to see.
