Wow, great pick, submitter. Definitely WTF, and I never even knew this song had a video.

I love this band, and yes I love this song. Which is hardly representative of their normal style, but then again not too atypical either. Thing is, they do such a wide variety - from pop to jazz to soul-funk to rock to alternative to electronica and more. And at least once every album, something truly WTF like this.

Saw them for a second time when they toured recently (first tour in maybe 10 years). They ended up playing a bowling alley for about 40 punters, but it was one of the best gigs I have seen. Fantastic energy, and they were all clearly having a great time.

The Headless Horseman's Headless Horse: .get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur!

Sadly, among their worst songs, also among their biggest hits.

That was absurd. WTF was that? I know it wasn't music.

I knew what that was (not was) before even hitting the link. I remember seeing the video on Liquid Television way back when.

I remember this from Liquid Television too. Did I see this on Beavis & Butt-Head too, or am I imagining that?

you couldn't handle that on good acid, man.

As soon as I saw the band name, I knew what the song was. We used to occasionally go into our own improv of the lyrics at random when the friends were in a weird mood...

Oh, this brings back memories of Pub13.

I saw this on Liquid Television, I never knew where it was from or really what it was, but I always liked it and every so often I like to say "Happy Birthday From JAIL!"

Bhasayate [TotalFark] 2008-11-19 01:30:36 PM
LOL I have a friend who says that every now and then "hello Dad, I'm in jail!" and I forgot where it came from.

"I like it here, I'm gonna stay!"

haha

Jail isn't fun, my friends...

Ugh. I got stuck listening to a tape of theirs on a road trip and I'm not sure if I've ever heard worse music.

Was (Not Was) were studio musicians who decided to do their own projects. Thus widely varied songs created by artist who can pretty much do anything.

I remember this from Liquid Television. While I like the video and song, once every fourteen years or so is good enough for me.

The Headless Horseman's Headless Horse Quote 2008-11-19 03:35:40 AM
..get on the floor, everybody walk the dinosaur!

weird story about that exact song from a few months ago. for some reason I kept waking up every morning with a rough version of the lyrics "everybody get up, get on the floor, everybody do the dinosaur" stuck in my head. finally after about 2 weeks of me singing it in bed every morning my girlfriend found the video on youtube. it still perplexes me where i was pulling the lyrics out from somewhere in my subconscious. before watching the video i can't recall ever seeing or hearing it before. also, the song came out when i was only a year old

Don Was has a son - the drummer for Eve-6, and an ex-wife who works for my mom. I had never heard of Was Not Was until until I heard her talking about Don and the old bass she bought him that he played in the band.

Liquid Television was the greatest. This song made the time spent in jail (while playing Monopoly) so much better.
