Well, that pretty much ruled.

That's how it would have sounded if Woody Allen had directed Start Wars instead of George Lucas.

Also the "Luke" character would have been shorter, nebbishy, neurotic and Jewish.

I'm pretty sure that at 2:09 the guitarist who's soloing ripped a Django Fart. Classic.

I was think of this Django (pops, not a RR.)

Which of course was Perry's imaginary theme music to the bad boy gunslinger from the movies.

Hahaha I'm sure you're right. Those mics are positioned to pick up sound coming from his lap...

Hilarious.

Tight-cheeked sounding fart, like it was being held onto for a while...

Awesome video.

I just went back and watched that part. I don't think guitars make that kind of noise ;)

You know what was a really groovin' Star Wars song? The music on Jabba's sail barge as they are flying to the Sarlac pit.

According to Wikipedia the recordings of it are "reportedly lost forever." Sad.

Uh, that's not jazz, really. It's Gypsy-jazz swing orchestration, but I don't know if I'd call it jazz.

Fette's Vette by mc chris

Fette's Vette is way better than any cover of the "Cantina Song". How "not obscure" is mc chris on Fark, anyways?

That isn't it. I mean the funky electronica dance thingy while R2 is serving drinks.

Here, I found a clip. (new window)

Not very obscure. He's pretty popular and since he was a regular on Adult Swim, pretty much every Farker who doesn't worry about the state of their lawns (yet) knows and loves the guy.

I wish he'd get a better producer though.

Hey, awesome! Who would have thought to play a song from Star Wars? I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've ever heard anything like this. These guys are the only ones doing Star Wars songs. Amazing!

Did you know Frank Zappa was asked to do the music for the cantina band but turned it down?

/his kids were pretty pissed when they found out.

this song makes me imagine a scene where george lucas does a #2 pencil-sized line of coke and this is blaring on the stereo and he then starts lip synching to his own strange alien language, groovin...
