"Back to school" and did songs for "Weird Science", "Bachelor Party" ,"fast times at ridgemont High" and "texas chainsaw massacre 2"

recycled himself into quite the composer. As awesome and excellent as "Dark Knight" is , the soundtrack is not half as good as the one he did for 'batman"

And the theme song to Beetlejuice (new window) is still one of the best, energetic score Ive ever heard

Minor correction: their songs were featured in Back to School, Bachelor Party, Fast Times, and TCM 2. AFAIK Weird Science was the first one they wrote specifically for a movie.

And don't forget he was Jack Skellington's singing voice in Nightmare Before Christmas. And he did the theme for The Simpsons.

Yeah, Danny's a musical god. Shame about his wacko Scientology niece.

"Just Another Day" (new window)

Those boys could rock.

I'll be forever depressed that there's almost zero chance of them ever getting together for another album. Elfman can't spare the time away from composing movie scores.

"Seeing" and "raising" headline trifecta now complete.

Well, between that and the hearing damage he risks exacerbating by doing live gigs, I think we'd best get used to seeing Dead Man's Party instead...

Thank you, Subby. And let us never forget where Oingo Boingo (sort of) began.

Don't forget their song "Who Do You Want To Be?" from Teen Wolf Too...

Bring us a pitcher of beer every seven minutes until somebody passes out.

And then bring one every ten minutes.

I just don't fit in here, Dad. I have one friend, Derrik Lutz, and he has no friends.

My favorite character in Back To School you ask? Lou the driver.

Danny Elfman's IMDB page is just insane (new window). One of the more impressive recent accomplishments was doing both the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Corpse Bride soundtracks/scores at the same time. No matter what you think of the movies, the music in them is brilliant. Corpse Bride Theme (new window)

Oingo Boingo kicks ass as well, my girlfriend thinks its a little creepy how much I like the song Little Girls (new window)

Danny Elfman is a god. We are simply forced to listen to his greatness.

Here's something to think about
Where would we be now without nasty habits, nasty habits
Makes me want to scream and shout
Life would be so dull without nasty habits, nasty habits
All those naughty little things that we don't discuss publicly
Nasty habits, nasty habits
Tell me your secrets, tell me your name, tell me your secrets

Does it please you to employ little girls or little boys
Nasty habits, nasty habits
Do you like to romp and play by yourself when they're away
Nasty affair what do I care
Do you peek at magazines filled with doggies and leather queens
Nasty habits, nasty habits
Tell me your secrets that no one should hear
Whisper them softly into my ear I won't tell, I won't tell

People act so proper when they're going 'bout their business
Cup of coffee, lfriendly conversation
'Til they get home,
'Til they get home

TAKE the phone off, lock the door and shut the curtains
Make sure that the neighbors are without suspicion
No one will know
No one will know
Nasty habits I must condone
No one knows what I do when I'm all alone
Nasty habits I'm so ashamed

Nasty habits here to stay now they'll never go away
Try and stop you'll have to pay
Nasty habits are here to stay

(Repeat chorus)

Nasty habits I must condone
No one knows what I do when I'm all alone
Nasty habits I'm so ashamed
But we must not let that stop our little game
Nasty habits are so much fun

Nasty habits here to stay now they'll never go away
Try and stop you'll have to pay
Nasty habits are here to stay

/also hoping for a reunion, but not holding my breath
//one of the few bands i have always wanted to see, just never got the chance.
