People with mental self abuse issues like that should be forbidden on any taxpayer-owned public property, with the exception of the asylum or the penitentiary.

/speaking of the administrators, of course.

Well, this should be interesting.

I'll just start by saying 19 is way too young to even think about marriage.

decision not to allow Casey Engstrom to attend any school dances because of health reasons.

FTA: The skin-stretching pieces would leave an open hole in the lip if removed, and removing the jewelry "was not acceptable because fluids could still come out, and I do not want to subject our students to those fluids," he said.

Do you think they'd deny entry to a kid with a serious illness who had a catheter? Will they be checking all kids to make sure they have no fresh cuts or scrape that might transmit fluids to others?

If you don't want to allow the kid in because you don't like the way that all that shiat in his face looks, just say it. Don't make up bullshiat excuses for it.

headline was TOTALLY disappointing, I was hoping for hick-down-south 30 married 17 type marriage.

Instead I get whiny 'alt' kid complaining that people don't like his stupid face holes.
sigh.

Bullshiat! I would respect asshole administrator more if he just told the truth of what he really thinks: "I don't like it, because it shows too much individuality. Our school teaches conformity, as most parents wish. I believe he must be mentally ill and dangerous, and should not be around our kids."

Pretty much that, yeah.

It does make me wonder, though, the people with huge labrets (particularly the people who take it to "lip plate" territory) - I presume they always have to keep the jewelry in, then?

I'll admit I'm very much not a fan of that look, but, YMMV I guess.

Still, I'll be the dick here and start wondering just what this guy does for a living...

cryinoutloud [TotalFark] 2008-11-16 12:57:46 PM
Why would a guy who's out of high school want to go to high school dances, anyway? And since she's married, she ought to get over that high school shiat, and start popping out babies.

SphericalTime [TotalFark] 2008-11-16 01:01:15 PM
He offered to take the jewelry out and they still refused him?

They're morons then. Well, that doesn't surprise me, most school administrations are.

Dufus [TotalFark] 2008-11-16 01:17:18 PM
Poor guy, it's a shame he may never make anything of himself. I bet Mr. Buchenic will be nothing more than a school supervisor the rest of his miserable life.

/probably never get laid either

vegasj 2008-11-16 01:20:36 PM
it's in the student dress code handbook.

he's not a student.

what's their issue?

FunkOut [TotalFark] 2008-11-16 01:21:39 PM
School administrator is freaked out about students being subjected to fluids? Sounds like the idea of these students being married and subjecting each other to one another's fluids could be what's really freaking him out.

Ohkay, I can understand wearing different clothing and such (as I do from time to time) but why the fark do people put 100 different holes in their faces? It makes you look like a moron, no different. Sometimes, when people like that are arse holes, I want to put a super magnet near by their faces to see what happens.

Generally they rule on the dress of people attending any school functions, not just students. If it's formal wear only, your date or your parents have to dress accordingly too, etc.

(Aside from the merits of this particular rule.)

mjoven1975 [TotalFark] 2008-11-16 01:25:28 PM
I personally think that stretching your lips and earlobes is ridiculous, but the school is clearly discriminating against him. They said he can't go to the dance with the jewelery, and when he offered to take it out, they still said no because "bodily fluids may leak out". The school can't have it both ways.

/No farking way that marriage lasts

Most HS's around here deny non-students entry to these type of functions anyway.

I hear this nifty little invention is great for ensuring that other people aren't subject to fluids coming from one's body.

They are married, so I'm pretty sure that she is already subjected to those fluids.

Right, what about the pierced people I know who have kids approaching school age? Can they show up for parent lunches and such? What about sub-dermal implants? No fluids there, but probably far more disconcerting to their sensibilities.

amesirow 2008-11-16 01:30:14 PM
Attention whore, yes.
I do respect that he spoke directly to the administrators...but...um...his wife didn't? Nor did she speak to the papers? Methinks we have a big of a submissive thing going on, there.
Also, this is a common practice in some cultures. It would be awesome if the school tried to deny access to those students, not just to a suburban white boy unhappy with his own boring culture who has to pick and choose the "coolest" parts of other cultures and create his own religion out of them...
And lastly...it's a school dance. If I were 19, I wouldn't want to go and might put a few holes in my face, too...

TehNacho [TotalFark] 2008-11-16 01:31:14 PM
Samsaran: I thought one of the advantages of piercings over tattoos was that they could be removed. Now, this guy has "skin stretching" piercings that allow fluids to "ooze" when they are removed? What kind of idiot would even consider doing such a thing to their body?

Tee hee hee there is a loose vagina AND your momma joke in there somewhere.

Explain to me the objective, non-arbitrary reason why ear piercings are OK but, say, an eyebrow is not?

I'm not so sure about that. I met my wife when I was 15, married her when I was 20. We had our first child when we were 24, and our second 4 years later. We've been together 24 years now, and couldn't be happier.

Why do people get tattoos?
Why do people wear the clothes they do?
Why do people listen to the music they do?
Why do people watch the shows they do?
Why do people wear makeup?
Why do people get implants?
Why do people collect things?
Why do people post on Fark?
Why do people get the haircuts they do?
Why do people like what they like?
Why do people do anything they do?
And, why do other people care so much?

I wouldn't say that, their trouble provided me with 3.2 minutes worth of entertainment on an otherwise quiet Sunday. I'd call that a win for me.

That guy is not cool enough to do those piercings. 10 years later, he'll be in a cubicle with the piercings long gone. Just an attn whore.

If you want to do piercings, you gotta go the whole way. Not some fat suburbanite teenager who spend $100 downtown to get a few piercings one day. Anyway, that stupid smug, shiat eating smile doesn't even go with your piercings, retard!

bmwericus 2008-11-16 01:35:17 PM
Likely this child was a problem student to begin with and the admin is doing what he could not do before, banning the twerp from campus.

AND, WTF are these two children doing getting married? Yea, children, note that they still live with relatives. Adults live on their own unless it's Aged Parents thing, but then you have to be in your 50's....

Paranthetically, why do these 'news' websites go w/out a geographical locator? I cannot figure out what state this was even from...
