They were released R.O.R. wtf? The article makes them sound like drug kingpins, and the cops let them go without so much as making them post bail?

Argument whether pot is good or bad aside(which ever you believe it is, your wrong). I thought this was the kind of arrest that made cops wet themselves. Methinks there is more to this story then they are telling.

Actually I was quite surprised by that as well. I've known many pot smokers over the years, And like normal society they range from smart to unbelievably dumb, the difference is, the longer they smoke(quantity and time) the more they move towards the back half of the scale, however they still imagine their mental faculties to be where they were when they started.

He made quite alot of money before he died a couple years ago. He showed me his setup, and told me he seperated people in his business into 2 different categories, those who where cool to hang with and smoked alot, and those who worked for him who didn't.

Agreed. I know a lot of stupid people who do no drugs at all. I especially like the ones who hold up a puny little marijuana plant on the nightly news and tell me that that plant has a street value of about 75 grand. They make me giggle.

This!! For that many drugs I thought they could be facing life in federal PMITA prison -- can you say flight risk? My jaw was on the floor when I read the last line of the article.

The only people that believe marijuana ought to be illegal or people that haven't tried it. It's an excellent remedy for most common psychological ailments. Headache? Depression? Easy, 3 hits off some fine dank, no more. It's not a way to avoid problems. It brings them into clarity for careful analysis, since your thoughts become more concrete and deliberate, whilst being fluid and open.

You guys really must be noobs. I did 3 months in County lockup for 100 lbs. Pot is not really such a big deal if you have money for lawyers/fines..etc.. Depends on where you get popped mostly. Stay out of Nevada.

Realize though, that marijuana does affect you when you smoke it, it does engulf your brain and cause neurons/neurotransmitters to function improperly... that is, you aren't at 100% there buddy.

It should be legalized though, the lesser of known evils really. It isn't as bad for you as what we have legalized, but... it still does its damage whether you will believe it or not.

HOWEVER, It should be legalized to not waste tax payers money, help the economy, and let the damn $15 hour laborers smoke a bowl when they get off work you republican douches.

And psychological damage, I scoffed at cannabis psychosis as a young man. Nothing funny about being holed up in a darkened room looking out the window because you're too paranoid to go out/let anyone in.
Admittedly that is a symptom of prolonged and chronic (no pun intended) use.

I'm sure we're not getting the whole story and I'm sure what story we are getting is slanted as all hell but still, I didn't see anything about a dangerous criminal in that article. They make an effort to point out that they had some mean ol' sticks and pointy things in the house but even though they've got decades of his operations on video they don't mention a single violent incident. You'd think if he had even tripped over a puppy they'd be waving it in the air like he was a child killer, but it seems like he was just a dude growing and selling weed and not really a threat to anyone at all.

But then again he could actually be a ranking lieutenant in a multi-national cartel that deals only in drugs and death. He rapes children from noon to six on Tuesdays and skins kittens with grapefruit spoons every new moon. All of the proceeds from the sale of his devil weed are shipped to Iraq and China where that dirty blood money is simultaneously used to build roadside bombs and break ground on factories that will be staffed exclusively by four year olds.
