I hope these stupid crackers realize that if Obama gets offed, this country will see violence that will make the Watts Riots look like a cookout.

/nod to the headline (too obscure?)

turn over rocks with enough diligence and you find slime.

this is weekly life in America - it was going on before the election, last year, last decade.

meanwhile, both Palin and Obama were hung in effigy - political statements, not racial

/some people are pissed off that there's no more rage against whitey, primarily as a result of this election, and are looking to stir up disharmony again...sell more guns kinda stuff

That's totally insane..believable, but insane.

I'm just happy that we can eliminate affirmative action now that there is a nice, clean, articulate Nubian president.

Hooray! Racism no longer exists in the US of A!

With all due respect, I'd take what the Secret Service says over what the Southern Poverty Law Center says.

Also, allegory is not statistics.

I was fairly certain that white supremacist and other conservative groups will be on the rise as a result of Obama's election win. I think I'm right in this case.

I think a lot will depend on what happens in the next six months. When the weather gets warm again, might be a bit edgy after stewing all winter...both sides.

I claim not to be white. Technically, I am...Armenian-Irish...and despite the fact that I am gay, and have experienced homophobia, I simply have no understanding what it must be like to be looked down upon due to something so apparent as the color of my skin. But I am not white. Or, at least, I like to think of myself as not white.

The people at Palin's rallies? Those are, in my eyes and my opinion, white people. I have nothing in common with them. Nothing. I am not saying that it is a negative; it is simply a style of life that has nothing to do with mine.

So I guess as a white person, I am supposed to feel guilty about the actions of a few asshats?

clifton: I was fairly certain that white supremacist and other conservative groups will be on the rise as a result of Obama's election win.

Conservative groups being tied to white supremacists is unacceptable to me. This notion of opposition to Obama being tied to racism is a just a method to silence and discredit those that would. Sure there are bigots out there, but the actions of a few cannot be allowed to tarnish the rest.

This from the story on what I am talking about:
Potok, who is white, said he believes there is "a large subset of white people in this country who feel that they are losing everything they know, that the country their forefathers built has somehow been stolen from them."

Grant Griffin, a 46-year-old white Georgia native, expressed similar sentiments: "I believe our nation is ruined and has been for several decades and the election of Obama is merely the culmination of the change.

First statement has some bigotry in it indeed. But the second one tied to it, could clearly be a disagreement of philosophy alone.

that bothers the farking shiat out me.

I can't speak for everyone, but so far I'd have to say that I haven't heard anything overtly racist in my local community. There's a LOT of shock over McCain losing, yes. But nothing racist in any of that.

I still can't believe that a REPUBLICAN President nationalized a third of our economy. Just woke up one day and nationalized that sucker and nobody so much as blinked an eye. That still just utterly floors me every time I think about it.

Well, except that you missed the next part of Griffin's comments:

"If you had real change it would involve all the members of (Obama's) church being deported," he said.

Whatever you think of Rev. Wright and his church, calling for the deportation of an entire congregation (that happens to be largely/all black) goes beyond a "disagreement of philosophy."

I think that there are also alot of dumbasses who realize that if they write something about Obama on a bathroom wall it could be on CNN the next day.

zappaisfrank: Racists refer to those people as "n*gg*r lovers".

I lived near Over the Rhine in Cincinnati for a few years. (2004-2008.) That's the area where the race riots occurred a few years ago, and I've never heard the n-word used so often by white people. They'd constantly ask me, "why do you want to live so close to all those n*ggers?"

For the record, I had a huge place with hardwood floors, 10 ft. ceilings, bay window, free heat for $590/month. And nothing even remotely crime-related ever happened to me. Sure, I encountered black people on a daily basis but I didn't know about the riots when I got there, so I didn't know I was supposed to be afraid.

Indeed. One of my favorite Star Trek quotes comes from DS9's 'Far Beyond the Stars' (sarcastically): "oh yes the world is not ready for a woman writer, imagine what would happen if it learned about a negro with a typewriter. Run for the hills, it's the end of civilization." Seems somewhat poignant to how these idiots are reacting.

What floors the rest of the world is how US voters have thought that the Republican Party was against high taxes and turning the government into a business. WTF did you think they were doing all along? It wasn't an overnight thing.

Now you know how we (honest, hard-working, belt-wearing black people) feel.
Read the politics section of Craigslist, and you'll see people saying "now that we have a black president, you people don't have any excuses." Don't get me wrong, some of my best friends are white, but some people just fuc{ing suck.

I've never been ashamed of being white, nor would I expect anyone to be ashamed of being black. It's not a race thing, it's a narrow minded simplistic view thing and those people come in all shades of color.

Not that I'm advocating anything but out of how many hundreds of millions of people that voted and live in this country and mear *hundreds* cause national breathlessness and panic?

Cracker Please!

Deal with these people like you would any other stupid moron threating violence, and then do your best to marginalize them.

I was just checking some freeper posts, and they're sharing information about where to get the best deals on bulk quantities of ammo. There's a lot of border-line Tim McVeighs out there that this is going to push right over the edge.
