Wow. My always ready Jewel Boner just went away.

Jewel of denial.

The "Who Will Save Your Soul" star, who grew up in Governor Palin's state of Alaska, is a staunch supporter of women's rights.

Supporter of women's rights? Then why the ever loving fu*k would she support Sarah Palin?

FlashHarry: Jewel of denial.

mother always said, " the only thing worse than a sore loser is a unattached gloating winner"

As a person who has taught choir, band, piano, steel drums, strings, and everything in-between, I can tell you that vocal musicians singers aren't too bright. They drool only slightly less than percussionists drummers.

Less talking, more boobs.

That's not exactly what she said.

"Alaskan women are very can-do women. We're the pioneer state! The women who settled (in) Alaska had a large role in shaping it. The way I was raised, I never thought I was any different than boys. You can really see that in Sarah Palin."

One can be a can-do person and still be a moron.

There wasn't really anything in TFA that has her "supporting" Palin. I think it was more her defending Palin against others' attacks, saying that Alaskan women are "can-do." Maybe she does actually support her ideologically, but tfa was more of a shout-out to all my Alaskan biatches.

9 days after the election or 3 years 347 days before the next election?

coco ebert [TotalFark] 2008-11-14 08:21:44 AM
Her comments seem more like misplaced Alaskan nationalism than anything else.

unfarkingbelievable 2008-11-14 08:26:58 AM
To be fair, it looks like the interviewer asked Jewel all about Governor Palin and created the article on those questions. Hardly a "post-election endorsement."

To be fair to subby, it was a nice read and a good find.

It's why they should be seen and not heard..........
And that comment about the Who will save your soul singer fame?! That song is so 90's. Has she done nothing since, like gotten naked or something?

As a mouth-breathing drummer I can attest to this.

Did Jewel get her teeth fixed?

An endorsement from the best selling poet of the last 20 years is hardly something to laugh at.

/Sadly, this is a true fact.

carmody 2008-11-14 11:14:46 AM
Wow, another reason to despise Jewel.

caknuck 2008-11-14 11:43:40 AM
Let's make a list of valid reasons to tell Jewel to shut her f'n mouth:
1) Snaggletooth
2) Yodelling
3) "I'm a folk singer! No, I'm a pop star! No, I'm a country singer!" Pick a damn genre already.
4) Political endorsements.
5) Readings of her lame poetry.

NittLion78 2008-11-14 01:33:39 PM
Jewel, I just want you to know two things:

1) I'd still hit it.
2) ...but now it will be hate-sex.

In other news, the November 10th issue of Jet Magazine had a banner across the top saying something along the lines of "Make a difference, Vote". A little late there?

alaskan girls can be pretty and hardworking and sometimes even smart, but never all at the same time.

(i've been with an alaskan girl for seven years)

So... which two does she have?

I wonder if Jewel could see Russia from her VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER in Alaska? hmmm.

I would like to endorse Richard Nixon.

/am I too late?

TFA: And she's spoken out against attacks made by fellow musicians including Akon and Grace Jones that Palin wasn't ready to step into office.

They needed names of musicians who thought Palin wasn't ready to lead the free world, and they come up with Akon and Grace Jones?

I hate everything about this link.

As a maestro of the membranophone, I find it incumbent upon myself to rebut the unfair generalization contained in your statement.

What are the last words the drummer says in a band?

"Hey, guys, lets try one of my songs!"

I saw your jublies in Ride With the Devil. I had a good spank from that one. After that, you returned to irrelevance.
