Is there a better pure front man from the NWBHM outside of Halford and Dickinson? My God he's awesome.

Also the dual guitar attack of KK Downing and Glen Tipton... there are too many superlatives that come to mind. Amazing.

This is one of my favorite songs to play. I love the lyrics.

I've never seen Priest live and it saddens me.

/Screaming for Vengeance is my second favorite album tho--there can be none greater than British Steel.

I saw this tour live back in the day. Amazing show.

One of metal's finer moments, this song.

That still makes my remaining hair stand on end. What a great song!

I saw them live this summer for the first time. Great show. They've definitely still got it. If you get a chance to go, don't hesitate.

Screaming for Vengeance has been spinning in my car CD player all week. One of the best metal albums ever!

Great song. Halford captures the power perfectly and even the contempt during the appropriate verses:

You think you've private lives,
Think nothing of the kind,
There is no true escape,
I'm watching all the time

You can almost hear the sneer on his face when he sing that.

I always this was easily their best album outside of sad wings

I saw them this summer - Great experience, but compared to any other metalconcert I've been to, they're kind of inanimate and not very energetic. Still, the awesomeness of their music made it a great show.

Saw them in their prime and then earlier this year.

Admittedly, they're not what they were--but they still put on a good show.

Made me a little sad, though, to see Halford not being able to hit some of the old high notes.

this is my drive-to-work CD.

Back around 1980, I was having this conversation with a couple of other 15 year olds:

Me: "I think that Rob Halford guy might be gay."
Other guys: "Uh uh! No way! They wouldn't let a fag in a kick ass band like Priest."

Almost as good as the girl in Heavy Metal Parking Lot.Link (new window)

I have to admit I never got what was so great about Priest ... and then I heard this song. I've liked them ever since.

Watching this makes 2008-era Priest even more pitiful. That Jimmy Kimmel performance was just sad. Hang it up guys, stop soiling such a great legacy.

OY! That sounded great! I saw them when they first reunited a few years back(Queensryche opened) and what a great show.

farking hell this song is so epic.

I've said many a time that if somebody came to me asking me what heavy metal sounds like, I'd play them this very song.

Awesome.
