Is Hinder available?

Vortex of suck? Only if you're talking about POD.

Filter's not too bad.

POD, however, sucks hard.

Agreed on Filter getting a pass. Matt Walker filled in for SP during the Adore tour while Jimmy Chamberlain was on his heroin-problem provoked leave-of-abscence. I love the Pumpkins, therefore Filter gets a pass.

I like Filter :(

But yeah, P.O.D., no thanks.

Fark you submitter I like Filter.

Okay, wait a sec. I like Filter as well, but this lineup bears as much resemblance to the original band as GNR.

RJames 2008-11-07 09:10:09 PM
Let's keep this going!

I like Filter too.

Hey, Fark you submitter. I like POD.

Oh wait, no I don't. Its Filter that I like.

I went to an all-day rock festival this summer where P.O.D. and Filter played back to back at one point. It was two hours of hell. Filter could never get the crowd into it, and at one point Richard Patrick called the band "metal". It would be hard for me believe there is a worse live band in America than P.O.D. I would rather listen to the guys from The Final Countdown- LIVE! play than have to go through listening to P.O.D. again.

I have a similar experience. I saw Filter on Family Values a long time ago and they were horrible. No one in the crowd could care about them. I don't mind filters albums, well all minus the latest one which is utter crap. POD use to be good live way back in the day when they were playing small venues, I saw them open up for Staind and Powerman 5000 and it was not bad. Staind is another band who was once good and went down the utter path of crap.

Filter = good

POD = bad

I guess I'm the only one who liked "Alive" when it came out?

*ducks*

POD and Filter both kick ass. .

Subby must be upset that his restraining order from Barry Manilow stuck.

They failed to give a reason for pulling the tour. However, rumours are abound online claiming the four-piece is taking a break from the music industry humiliating themselves.

I like some of the POD singles, like Filter much, much better, but this has to be about crappy ticket sales. The latest Filter album was their worst and live clips on YouTube show them playing in venues with like 50 people.

Are all the people praising Filter just remembering the one good song they did and forgetting all the non-good ones? I don't hate them but you have to admit that overall they were pretty mediocre.

P.O.D. on the other hand isn't just an everyday bad band, they're a band I wish I could erase from memory. Just thinking about those songs makes me cringe.

I saw POD open for Disturbed here in NZ a couple months ago. POD sucked so hard that I actually left the arena until they stopped inflicting their shiat on the crowd.

Short Bus was incredibly good, beginning to end. That one good song they did? Slightly rearranged 9 or 10 different times. Seriously though, I did/do enjoy the album. Cool mood.

Love filter. Hate P.O.D. Kinda glad this is canceled as a result.

Another Filter supporter here... can only handle POD in small doses.

Although I will say my favorite Filter album is actually The Amalgamut and not Short Bus... dunno why but I just like more of the songs off of that album.

fark all yall i like both of the bands (for their respective better albums)

sp0rk_of_psychosis 2008-11-09 11:58:46 AM
Better would be Filter - Army of Anyone - Stone Temple Pilots.

Never have seen Filter live but absolute fan of studio work. Title of Record still has gems. Glad I re-bought.

...and for the record, yeah, Filter is a metal band. But they have a lead singer that, ya know, sings, their guitar/bass lines are more like Tool in simplicity, and they mix in elements of industrial.

Sad to hear they're anemic live.

Payable on death? Someone tally the tab and send these guys the bill.
