Frank Zappa would agree; he provided guitar and vocals on a number of Zappa albums.

"Watson's 1956 song, 'Three Hours Past Midnight' inspired me to become a guitarist." - Frank Zappa

"I used to play the guitar standing on my hands, I had a 150 foot cord and I could get on top of the auditorium - those things Jimi Hendrix was doing, I started that shiat!" - Johnny "Guitar" Watson

"He is very heavily armed... and legged!" Johnny Guitar Watson rules. I think the saxophonist was the same guy they used in the Blues Brothers, right?

Tell me that Andre Benjamin (OutKast) doesn't sound exactly like this guy, especially when he's clowning on the mic.

Quality track... thanks Subby!

Herman Li records in the studio at half speed and production speeds it up, and even then it's not that impressive, it's easy to play fast, it takes skill to play with soul and wit.

If you're three minutes into a video and all I've seen is some dude in a bad suit, it should just stay red.

/ Some sympathy for us liters.

Watson is definitely one of the pioneers of rock n roll. He was using distortion and feedback in the early 1950's before anyone else. A huge influence on lots of artists.

Thanks for the great vid, subby.

Having seen them live, I beg to differ.

Quit trolling. Herman Li would agree with subby anyway, Herman's all about sound effects on the guitar.
