I've seen them about 15 times. I was a bit of a super fan back in high school. Chi is one of the nicest and most humble musicians I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. It's sad stuff, and it pisses me off when people like Edipis add their two trolling cents.

This is a bummer. Their shows are kind of hit or miss because of Chino's voice, but when they are good they're really great.

I would imagine there is a good number of us who feel back for both. Who cares if you like the music or not. It isnt like the Deftones are on the radio every minute or every other person you talk to brings up the Deftones. He was a recognizable musician (the reason the story got greenlit), he was injured, and this is a chance for people to come talk about his music. Or wish death upon him for some odd reason.

I met Chino and Chi in '98 after seeing them in Columbus, and they are still two of the nicest, most humble musicians I have ever met. I wish the best to Chi and his family, and I hope they make it through with a good outcome.

I watched that whole "Change" video and didn't see anything to do with Obama.

This is horrible news. I've seen the deftones 20 times dating back to 1996 and met Chi several times...really nice guy. Hope he comes out of it.
