The downtown mall was packed (it was about 11:00 PM) with people waiting for the event. The runners started from the West End ("Old Chicago"), crossed Broadway (one guy mooned the cars waiting, another started dancing naked on Broadway) and ended up in front of the Court House. There they put their clothes on, and put the pumpkin away (no smashed pumpkins on the ground). The cops showed up, and started ticketing people at random (12 tickets) for indecent exposure (which could result in a lifetime tag as sex offender!). The crowd surrounded the cops, chanting "Let Them Go!". There were 205 naked runners (I counted them), I'd say 1/4 were women. The weather was perfect; there was no violence (in past years drunks have hit some runners). Eventually, people started dispersing, and that was the end of the 10th annual Naked Pumpkin Run in Boulder Colorado.
