noooo, isn't that the game Winnie the Pooh would play with Piglet about picking sticks up out of the river or something? I remember him dangling over a bridge and trying to grasp at sticks only being swept down the river and Eeyore would have to save him

Terry Pratchett: Turd Races in the gutter appear to have died out, despite an attempt to take them upmarket with the name Poosticks.

/just got home from a road trip and listened to Thud! twice

//also played the game

///Thud! the game, not poosticks or Turd Races

////18 hours each way

Wouldn't understand it in the states? In Colorado we race ducks down Cherry Creek... WTF? Wouldn't understand it? Maybe that elitist biatch doesn't understand it but Americans sure do.

Who can forget the infamous 1997 competition when an Asian betting syndicate bribed several contestants in an attempt to rig the event?

My son tried to make his own poohstick. Got the tension all wrong, and it went off in his face... We couldn't let him in the house like that, with poo all in his hair. He died of exposure on the porch that night. I can still hear him, bangin' on the door, goin' "Daddy... Daddy..."

I'd just like to thank our American cousins for buying up a charming, whimsical English character, commercialising the fark out of him, Americanising him and giving him the voice of Humbert Humbert.

Actually, I take that back. He sounds more like Truman Capote.

Thank you, Ishkur, for the awesome reference. I couldn't find one in time.

to play poohsticks each player drops a stick off a bridge and then you run to the other side and whoever's stick comes out first wins.
