Fortunately we Australians are far too lazy to be concerned with anything that Rupert Murdoch has to say.

I guess he would have us work like yanks, what a life that would be...

Jovial antics aside, aren't Australians utterly weary of Murdoch's constant pandering to Bush and everything conservative in America? I'm pretty sure that the approval rating of him and his willingness to assist in the Iraq War was like, 12% last time I heard. His biatching about Obama does not surprise me at all.

And I wonder how many of the people that he coins as "blugers" are Aborigine?

Murdoch warned in an interview last week that a win by Democratic hopeful Barack Obama in this week's US election could worsen the world financial crisis.

I love it when two-bit right wingers -- who caused the financial crisis -- tell us how that we're the problem.

When I was in Junior high in Utah, there was an exchange student from Australia. She was kind of chunky, dorky, and had bad skin, but she was supremely confident that she was sexy and funny. Also, she was bent on seducing all the up-tight mormons into loosening up a bit. She changed my perspective and shiat.

John Hughes could have made a movie about it.

Institutionalizing generations of people in welfare is something that has happened in a variety of ways in a variety of western nations and should be avoided and rolled back when possible.

It's also a pretty minor problem compared to the agriculture, finance, automobile and other special interests lobbyist lined up for their handouts and free rides.

Heh, we had an Australian exchange student in our school too. She was cool, and we always made fun of her calling a flashlight a "torch" and weird words like that.

I wish I'd kept in touch with her.

I find it hard to believe that America doesn't have a corner on the lazy bastard market. Very hard to believe.

No, but he could very easily make a bad situation worse by "taxing us into prosperity".

I'm an Australian currently living in Canada, and have travelled all across America, and you have no idea how hard it is to have a normal conversation, because of differences in the language, and the fact that people won't even spend 2 nanoseconds working out what you're talking about from the context.

words like windscreen, footpath, tomato sauce, car park, and a lot more that I can't currently recall (I'm reminded when I say one of them, and get a WTF? expression from the person I'm talking to in response).

Omnivorous: I love it when two-bit right wingers -- who caused the financial crisis -- tell us how that we're the problem.

Because they didn't cause it?

Congress controls the purse. democrats have controlled congress for two years, knew the shiat storm was coming the whole time and did nothing. bill clinton signed the repeal of the Glass-Steagall act that made all this crap possible and the guys that ran FannieMae into the ground (franklin raines and jim johnson) are part of obama's inner circle. They were appointed by democrats and the democrats fingerprints are all over this one. Do a wikipedia search of their names and you will see how the same names keep coming up. All democrats. That's why there has been no congressional investigation or hearings. This is way bigger than Enron or steroids in baseball but nothing is being looked into. Why? Because democrats own this one. When John McCain warned that oversight and investigation into FannieMae was needed he was told by the democrats to STFU. His entire campaign staff should have been fired months ago for not tying obama to the failings of the democrat party which controls both houses, who's approval rating is barely in double digits, and who obama voted with 99% of the time.

democrats lied, the economy died.

Hmmm, tomato sauce? That's what I've always called it. The rest of them seem logical anyway.

That's just not true, as Murdoch was the reason why the New York Post endorsed Obama.

Murdoch said this? This means that Australia is on it's way to being the hardest working nation in the world, with an average of 80+ hour work weeks.

Except in Australia, tomato sauce is what Americans call ketchup.
