If you like'em enough to have 20 already, you like'em enough to get the 21st.

I hadn't bought an AC/DC album since "Fly on the Wall". I bought this one on a whim.
I don't regret it.

I've heard it. It's good if you like AC/DC. But I will not patronize Wal*Mart for anything.

Patroclus 2008-11-01 02:23:56 PM
If you think this band is at all relevant to your life at this point, you're probably a boring person.

If you buy your "rock n roll" at Wal Mart, you're definitely a boring person.

TheBitterest [TotalFark] 2008-11-01 02:41:31 PM
787,000 copies?

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that Soundscan includes all of the copies bought by Wal-Mart as being sold, so the number is a little skewed.

Buy it online. Same price - free shipping.

If you still think "rock n roll" may have relevance to anyone and must pontificate on the subject, then you're definitely a dweeb.

/Guns n' Rose coming soon to your local Best Buy. Prepare for the I hate Best Buy and G n' R thread.

I like AC/DC, but really, there's nothing new here to hear. Plus, they sold their soul to Walmart and that I can't support on basic rock-n-roll anti-establishment principles.

andyfox5 2008-11-01 05:08:43 PM
You dopes act like it's not for sale anywhere else. It is, they order it on the Internet and sell them in record shops. You can also buy it on acdc.com directly from the band's website.

Cooper420 2008-11-01 05:27:09 PM
I'm glad in Canada they don't sell exclusively through Wal Mart and that shiat.

Can't wait to see them next Friday!

carmody 2008-11-01 06:13:56 PM
It's easy to top the charts when Wal-Mart advance-buys three million copies of your record and that counts as "sales".

angrygrizzly 2008-11-01 06:22:04 PM
For those of you biatching about the whole WalMart deal, think about this:

No music channel on TV and very few radio stations will play new AC/DC music.

So they made a deal with WalMart for distribution. What the fark else were they supposed to do to get publicity?

Shave their heads? Shoot somebody? Fark Guy Ritchie?

Get a grip, people. If you have any complaints, address them to Bill Clinton. He farked up the radio industry big time and giftwrapped it for Clear Channel and their clones. That's a simple fact.

sales are good because 14 year old boys don't have anything else to buy this week

Not positive but how would Wal Mart's buys be any different from any other chain?

Believe it or not, every Seedie album I have is bought and paid for. Some came in box sets, but all legal.

Uh, no, Walmart's 'big buy' does not count as 'sales'.
And actually I was a bit surprised that it didn't crack the 1mil. mark.
For those intent on some sort of outrage, how 'bout this: Lil Wayne has the biggest weekly sales total for the year... 1.01mil.
Dear Gawd.

No, seriously, they only have one album. Just one. For some reason you can buy it with a shiatload of different titles and covers though.

ACDC has charted only because the mouth-breathing retards who like ACDC are too stupid to download their shiat for free.

You got me there. I mean, a life that consists of skydiving, BASE jumping, bungee-jumping, white water rafting and caribbean island hopping negates all of the awesomeness of my life....all because I bought an AC/DC album at farking Wal*Mart.

sometimes Indy record stores have ways of selling the music too, and also on vinyl if you're one of those guys.

That way you don't have to step into Wal*Mart.

Ask your friendly local indy music store guy to get you one. They're available.

Spoken like a true pompous elitist. Who cares if it's "relevant" or "not relevant"? They rock out and the music is fun to listen to. Is that OK with YOU, your Highness?

Go listen to your Oasis CDs.
