Speaking as a reformed Buffett fan, Jimmy didn't get annoying until he became "Jimmy Buffett Inc." back in the mid 80's. But his early stuff when he was just a drinking pothead with Jerry Jeff Walker and Steve Goodman is quite listenable.

Gotta give props where props are due... The guy is a marketing and business genius. And his label has helped some pretty good acts (ie Todd Snider and The Iguanas) get started.
