I wonder how many will be in Grant Park on election night. 1 million?

Pssht. They were just there to see The Decemberists Flobots.

The Secret Service folks have to crapping snow crabs every time it gets that big.

I don't envy them.

Pretty impressive. I just got back from seeing him here in Fort Collins. I stood in line for two hours, and it was easily at least 2 miles long. I'd like to know how many people came to see him here.

He gave a very inspiring speech, seeing him honestly made my day.

Bill_Wick's_Friend 2008-10-26 07:25:48 PM
They were still cheering the Decemberists when Obama took the stage?

I just saw him yesterday at a local high school. Not as large as a crowd the last time he was at Cashman field (14,000+)... but still a good crowd. We didn't hear about it until Friday

I'm sorry, but there's only one Big O. When Obama averages a 30, 11 and 12 for an entire season, then we can talk.

punkrockgirl [TotalFark] 2008-10-26 08:59:32 PM
He got 35,000 in Indy on Thursday, pretty impressive for a blood red state. Plus I saw a Fark Independent(tm) there. Really.

CravenMorehead 2008-10-26 09:22:41 PM
They are gonna be pissed when Obama enslaves them all in January.

Indiana is a blood red state? That must be why it's the only one that's too close to call in the polls.

We've gone red for presidential elections for almost 50 years. We do have a democratic senator (Evan Bayh), but Indiana has historically never been one for Republicans to worry about.

Obama is actually up 5, according to 538, but the margin of error is 4 (I think). Nate had it blue yesterday and the day before. BigTen has Obama up by 9.5 (as of Thursday morning), but that's probably an outlier. I'm not sure what happened today to turn it back to white.

That's changing this year, though. I like the idea that my vote will actually make a difference.

Oscar "The Big O" Robertson, the only person to average a triple double for an entire season.

Pfuh. Whatever. I saw him back in Dallas back in the primaries when he was still just doing stadium shows. All these poseurs showing up late to the party can bite me. He's totally sold out. His old stuff was way better.

RandomExcess 2008-10-26 11:38:13 PM
Later in the day, Obama drew 50,000 at Fort Collins, a town of 120,000 - 135,000.

McCain cannot even draw that pirate on the back of a match book.

rogue49 2008-10-26 11:39:33 PM
Impressive.
Looks mighty majestic.

I think you might have a winner here.

but a question,
why do people have to troll...did you not breast-feed?
a need poke and prod?

as psych prof says...very interesting.
not that there's anything wrong with that...

Way to hit the party lately. I was a fan before he started touring when he was just a Chicago act.

His old EPs were better than his studio albums, especially after he signed to a major.
