Is this a joke? This is not a joke? Who is writing your questions?

I can't remember...in 1996 was there an economic recession with people jumping out windows because a democrat was in office? Or was there a surplus or prosperity?

Go back to your hole mr gop talking point.

It's funny my mother wrote an email to this James Pethokoukis assbag, and immediately wrote her back. The whole thing went back and forth. With her calmly asking what he meant, and explaining how what he's saying makes no sense; and him squealing about "forward-looking markets and any other grab bag word, like a Fark Troll in a Bullsh*t Pit. The guy has no f*cking clue how the stock market works. (My mother worked for Merrill Lynch back in the day.)

It is WELL known and supported that the market does worse under Democrat presidents. Furthermore, the tax and spend Democrat party has lead to an INSANE growth in the national debt every time they were elected.

Republican presidents ALSO have seen higher real wage growth for the middle class!

This week, I received four separate mailers from the RNC and the Florida GOP all bashing Obama. Soft on crime; ties to Rezko; responsible for the ailing economy. I was utterly flaggergasted. One was approved by McCain/Palin.

Without equal, this has been the filthiest campaign I've seen. Perhaps I just wasn't paying as much attention in the past, but the GOP has reached panic mode and it's mighty damn ugly.

For his part, Obama has behaved as a gentleman. Fark, an ANGEL compared to the opponent and his backers.

I firmly believe most Americans have wised up and are sick to death of this nonsense.

Obama is our next president. I'm still voting Baldwin (have to do the conscience thing), but I'll be delighted as fark to never hear another word from McCain, his underhanded supporters or the GOP.

They need to clean up their farking act and start behaving as public servants - not TMZ.

I hated when my salary increased threefold while Clinton was President, but fortunately, it's now slightly below when Bush took office. That's just peachy.

Being 28 years old, I support eight more years of Republican economics. See, my 401(k) has lost 40% of its value, which means that my monthly contributions are buying MORE securities with the same dollars. As long as the market turns upward sometime in the next 35 years, I will be doing gangbusters.

Your social security contributions will have to increase to cover all of the 'old' people who lost their money in the market and aren't making it back. You want the stock market to improve.

The men who control the most capital in the market are overwhelmingly Obama supporters. Do you really believe their panic over the policies they are voting for are driving the market slide?

Did Palin's kid make this stuff up? The WSJ knows where the fund managers political leaning lies, they are so full of shiat the words are coming out brown and full of peanuts and corn.

A captain of a ship must always take responsibility when his ship has a problem - whether he's off the bridge or reading "The Pet Goat". It's part of the job NOT to shift blame, but to man up, deal with the problem and not shiat on your junior officers or predecessors.

ha, I knew Republicans would tyr to attached Obama's climbing poll numbers to the declining stock market. So how do they explain the occasional bump in the stock market where it closes 500 point up? Surely a very slight drop in Obama's poll numbers do not translate to such a dramatic increase?

I could possibly buy a steady decline in stocks if Obama's polls go up (assuming it was based on sound logic), but an outright 3000 point crash in two weeks? Over-simplifying much?

How can anyone say that an Obama economy would be worse than the Mess of hypocritical GOP economic policy.

Seriously, a 700B dollar bailout? If you want a free market economy so bad you have to let it go unsupported, otherwise it isn't free.

On a related note I hope all moderate republicans will have enough sense to break away from the ridiculous religious right and form an actual party that isn't just a bad joke.

Did subby finish reading the article?

In the end, we'll go with our trusty Occam's Razor. We've got AIG sucking billions of dollar into it, and a massive amount of uncertainty with the CDS market et. al. Until we've got more of a resolution on that stuff, it seems like we've got plenty to explain the market crash.

You fail. Book it. Done.

No, no, you guys just don't understand how it works. The President has no control over the economy, unless the economy is giong well under a Republican president, or poorly under a Democratic president. Yes, yes; I know that they all claim to have their "economic plans," but they just say t hat to exercise their throats and no action is ever taken on any of those plans.

LoL, typical Freeper response - if you don't know how to respond to a person's message, then you attack the way the message was communicated and walk away as if you've won the argument.

What's even funnier is his sentences were actually coherent, other than one spelling issue.
