Dude! They're probably FARKING them too! Oh, those dirty Democrats!

GaryPDX [TotalFark] 2008-10-26 09:20:07 AM
You know who else used children to spread nationalist socialist ideology?

MorrisBird [TotalFark] 2008-10-26 09:23:01 AM
Oh no! Children participating in the democratic process. Next thing you know we'll be teaching them civics. They might know what the vice president's job is! I say, let's return our children to the street corners where they'll learn how to smoke and curse properly. We got trouble, right here in River City, with a capital T and that rhymes with P and that stands for politics!

Oooh! Oooh! Palin, right? 'cause I've seen her kids all over the damn place!

You're a fine American, sir.

They're probably promised a free iPod.

St_Francis_P [TotalFark] 2008-10-26 09:29:14 AM
They're the lucky kids. Obama ate the others.

/I read it on the internet!

GaryPDX: They're probably promised a free iPod.

Honestly, they are into it. Some of them are into it because their parents, or their friends, are into it. Some of them just want to be part of something bigger then themselves. But many of them are there because they truly believe in Obama. I have been with the volunteers in VA the past four weekends and it is something to see.

Why at their age, I was taking over the administration building at Syracuse University to protest the Viet Nam war and iPods weren't even invented yet. And, I wore an onion on my belt. Honestly, Gary, you're funny this morning.

That's much better than forcing your pregnant teenage daughter to marry her high school boyfriend because it would look bad for you politically if she raised the child as a single mom.

I can see why this would upset the republicans and their idea of an ignorant populace.

I thought high-school kids were encouraged to understand and participate in our election process?

Hal Jalykakik [recently expired TotalFark] 2008-10-26 10:45:03 AM
PROTIP: Not all kids are into the Jonas Brothers, video games and fapping. Some of them actually give a shiat about politics and world affairs even though they may be years away from being able to vote.

/ best friend campaigned for Adlai S. in IL in 1986, although he couldn't legally vote until 1988.
// I myself recruited high school kids to campaign for Wellstone in 1990. Those kids rocked.

This is where GaryPDX jumps in, calls Obama a socialist, everyone beats him down with actual knowledge and he jumps out, only to return in another thread and do it all over again. I'll pass this time.

Anyway, it's better than what the Republicans do to underaged kids.

Some just don't willingly swallow what the media gives them with a smile.

That's because the kids are getting sex education door to door.

/I do not like sex ed in school/I do not like it at a pool/I really hate this sex ed, Sam/Because I vote Republican.

Nemo's Brother: Some just don't willingly swallow what the media gives them with a smile.

You're right. Some of them go on to repeat it ad nauseam, without using any proof or examples to backup their point and casually ignoring any evidence to the contrary. For example: "LOL Hussein Obama are teh Marxist socialist!"

cousin-merle 2008-10-26 11:46:49 AM
Meanwhile, underage Republicans are trying to hide from Republican Congressmen.

Congratulations W, you managed to make the youth care about politics again. It may be your greatest accomplishment as President.

Which its really hard to take anything he says seriously. He's only hurting his credibility himself, so when he actually DOES have an important point to make that he wants to discuss, no one will believe because of this crap that he pulls. Its his own damn fault.

Also, have people notice that the users who do this are in a pattern? I haven't seen him do this for a while, and now all of a sudden his posting like that. Then he'll stop for a bit and do it again maybe a week from now. And when he's not doing this, some other user does it instead.

So?

I campaigned for a political party back in 2006 when I was 16.

There is research that says people are more likely to be persuaded by a younger voter than an oldero ne.

Better than Republicans, who are using underage kids as sexual stimuli.

The quicker he slams that door shut, the quicker he can get back to masturbating to his "Midget She-males with Guns Volume 8" DVD.

didn't anyone's else kids vote in their 'election' at school and what not when they were little?

I mean it's not like they're going to door to door with no supervision selling pencils or they'll be beat and all.

It's about time all american's, regardless of their age, got back and engaged in the political process. Anyone who is pissed about it is just mad they didn't think of it as well.

In all seriousness, I wouldn't mind if a kid shilling for McCain or Obama came by, they're paying attention, which is more than 50% of the population who can vote can say, let alone those that can't.

I know when I was in

Gosling [TotalFark] 2008-10-26 12:39:46 PM
I've gotten a few instances of underage kids wanting to help out in my time on the phones.

The thought is, if they want to help, we'll find something for them to do. All hands welcome, whether they can actually vote or not.

I wouldn't worry about Bristol... her status is only a football until the election. Once it's over she can pretty much do whatever she wants, no matter which way it goes.

It's not like the religious conservatives REALLY care about Bristol or her baby. She could marry Lynne Cheney, as long as Sarah Palin a) claims it's out of her control, and b) otherwise maintains her Christofascist rhetoric.

FarKnight 2008-10-26 12:43:19 PM
Barely worse than McCain's Geezer Brigades voting on a future they won't be around for. Not to mention that a lot of them are just as educated, mentally aware, and in control of their bodily functions as 5 year olds.

A Tout Le Monde 2008-10-26 12:44:10 PM
I bet they're voting! Someone go tell the old people that kids are voting on Democrat tickets.
