How absolutely mavericky of her to break all those silly "no contact with the bidders" regulations. How the heck else could she make sure the fine upstandin citizens of Alaska would be gettin a fair shake? And to heck all them librul medias with their "gotcha" questions and their "ethics investigations". What do they know that Joe the Plumber can't tell us, anyway?

/Leave Sarah alone already

It'd be a shame to take that $40 billion that'll go into her friends' pockets and use it to do research which will help disabled children.

-Under a different set of rules four years earlier, TransCanada had offered to build the pipeline without a state subsidy; under Palin, the company could receive a maximum $500 million.

Motherfarker.

What the Palin administration didn't tell legislators - and neglected to mention in its announcement of Rutherford's appointment - was that in 2003, Rutherford left public service and worked for 10 months at the Anchorage-based Jade North lobbying firm. There she did $40,200 worth of work for Foothills Pipe Lines Alaska, Inc., a subsidiary of TransCanada.

Jesus christ.

By the Nov. 30 submission deadline, there were five applications. But the state disqualified four for failing to satisfy the bill's requirements.

That left TransCanada.

Yeah.

No offense to any Alaskan Farkers around here, but I suspect there's a very good reason no Alaskan politicians have risen to national office. It seems to be a very corrupting environment. Probably all of that oil wealth in the hands of so few people.

If a supercomputer was assigned the task of creating a politician that was at the same time the most corrupt and the biggest farking moron, could it have created the Palin?

I wish I could say that this information would affect the way people see Palin....but I don't think that it will. the people who vote for her see only what they WANT to see. you could have her on tape taking bribes and a large number of republicans would still vote for her.

That's the problem - so few people! She's practically forced to give people she knows good jobs because there just aren't enough people in all of Alaska to fill those positions!

This is bad news for TransCanada's chances of getting approval of the pipeline in northern BC and Alberta. The left-wing is already moderately up in arms against it, and Amnesty International is now involved, citing human rights concerns with native groups whose land the pipe is planned to go through.

I think the overall sentiment toward Palin in Canada is already "Honky grandma be trippin'!" mixed with disgust at how much of a dumbass she is, and the more the TransCanada project is in the news in the States, the more it will perceived as "Sarah Palin's pipeline". That could intensify any protests to oppose its being built without proper environmental impact studies or compensation for native groups and others whose land the pipeline is planned to be built on.

In 2008, every Alaskan man women and child (non-felons...if they lived there for a year or more) got a $3269.00 check from the Alaska Permanent Fund.(p)

Thanks to Sarah's fecundity, the Palin's pulled in nearly $20,000!! (I'm assuming nothing for Trig since he's less than a year old...and possibly a felon)

and you know who the Alaskan welfare bill got passed onto? The rest of us farkers who paid more their oil.
The oil companies don't care, they just raise the price and keep on trucking.

PER CNN:

"PALIN GOING ROGUE"

"With 10 days to go until election day, long brewing tension between Sarah Palin and key aides to John McCain has become so intense, it is spilling out into the public.

Several McCain advisers have suggested to CNN they have become increasingly frustrated with what one aide described as Palin "going rogue" recently, while a Palin associate says she is simply trying to "bust free" of what she believes was a mishandled roll-out that damaged her.

McCain sources point to several incidents where Palin has gone off message, and privately wonder if they were deliberate. For example: labeling robo calls "irritating," even as the campaign was defending the use of them and telling reporters she disagreed with the campaigns controversial decision to pull out of Michigan.

A second McCain source tells CNN she appears to now be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign."

----

I love it that this dumb biatch is now completely in it for herself. She has such an unbridled ego that she actually thinks she has what it takes to make a serious run for president in 2012, and she's stabbing McCain in the back and torpedoing what little chance he has left in order to serve herself. It's the final act in the insane drama that McCain set in motion when he picked this poorly-educated religious extremist as a running mate, and Johnny farking deserves it.

8 years? try more like 40. people keep thinking that all our problems are the result of recent decisions. Which is untrue. Our problems are the results of long term systemic flaws buried in our political and economic systems.

The fact that newsreaders don't bust out with laughter, unable to contain their mirth, every time they are asked to pretend that the McCain/Palin ticket is a serious contender in this election depresses me about the future of this nation.

It's like watching kabuki theater, only we are all supposed to take it seriously. When is the point when someone just point out the utter ridiculousness of this whole charade.

I think Biden made the best attempt at it so far--

"Was that a real question?"
