OH MY GOD! KILL IT WITH FIRE!

KILL IT WITH FIRE!

Another one of my favorite bands from the 80's, dead. First Metallica, and now this!

tgregory 2008-10-25 03:05:03 PM
music sounds good...the singing... gotta have a southern accent to pull off country, sorry.

Donald_McRonald 2008-10-25 03:09:34 PM
Why'd he do this? Is he really that hard up for cash?

moosealope 2008-10-25 03:10:53 PM
Oh that is so sad. How the mighty have fallen.

He can still sing though. He's a great singer. I just wish he wouln't sing that.

Gwendolyn [TotalFark] 2008-10-25 03:23:05 PM
Well he was always a good singer. Didn't he sign on Broadway for a number of years?

Wait. One night I saw a horrible show that had Sean Young singing. It was so horrifying I couldn't turn the channel. It was some "Can you be a country singer?" show. This guy was on it too.

I bet it's form that.

mortimer_ford 2008-10-25 03:44:03 PM
At least he's not singing with that made up twang that most modern country singers use.

Hobodeluxe [TotalFark] 2008-10-25 04:20:08 PM
I'm a big country music fan and that song sucks imo.

Kid Rock otoh seems to have transitioned well (^)

as a guy who programs a country station i'm really getting a kick out of these replies.

sorry, couldn't be helped. But I'm not going to play it uless it gets in the top 20, and i don't see that happening

Farkomatic 2008-10-25 04:45:42 PM
I love Sebastian Bach.

That sucked. If he sung the Manhattan phone book, I'd probably buy it. But that truly sucked balls.

satanicsantoku 2008-10-25 04:54:51 PM
this has totally ruined my day.

He didn't transition; he put together 2 previous rock hits.

I've been in country radio for 20 years. Aeeegaaaaaah! That was
bad. I like Sabastian Bach and Skid Row, but sorry, no!

Bobby Brown's song from "Gone Country" last season was actually
pretty good.

ZAZ [TotalFark] 2008-10-25 06:11:35 PM
I kind of liked it until he started singing.

PseudoNic [TotalFark] 2008-10-25 07:06:32 PM
Hobodeluxe: and then there's Robert Plant who teamed up with Allison Krauss (^)

T. Bone Burnett has a huge influence on that pair. You should see them live.

A disingenuous mess. Nice hat Jackass.

DKinMN 2008-10-25 07:17:29 PM
Wow. This is not going anywhere on radio. Country music might be ridiculous tripe, but at least it's sung and played by real musicians.

/except Kenny Chesney
//and that horrible woman from Sugarland

He's gotta make some cash to afford a model train that can compete with farkin' Patrick Swayze.

Wow, did NOT expect Samantha Bee to do this video for Sebastian Bach.

davynelson 2008-10-25 09:23:49 PM
he was always worse than Bram Tchaikovsky.

What country radio are you listening to? There are a few classically talented artists, but the vast majority these days are as manufactured as your average pop princess. Don't write their own music, don't write their own lyrics, and most of them wouldn't know what to do with a guitar if you handed it to 'em. It seems like they've done their focus studies and people only care about pretty faces and pretty voices anymore.

...shiat, talking about it always makes me depressed.

/off to listen to Highwaymen

Those first couple of Skid Row albums really kicked ass.

/this, not so much.

I do like really old country, back when they really were farmers what done good in the Big City.

This current crap is all failed rock stars in cowboy hats.

I loved Skid Row with Sebastian Bach.

The magnitude of suckage for this song is epic. Epic Fail.

Man, I thought this was about Johan Sebastian Bach.

I have no idea who this long-haired douche is.

I'm really out of touch with popular culture.

That's because the guitarist or someone wrote the songs on the first album. Bach got some song-writing credit because he contributed a word or two.

100 points to anyone who understands why his nickname is Sebiatchian.

doobiebrother 2008-10-26 07:03:52 AM
if you think this douche ever rawked...
that's how i know you're gay.
Slowontheuptake is supremely correct.
s.bach is not fit to tie j.cash's shoelaces,
never mind sing a redneck and midwestern (oops)coontry and western song.
this sounds like he's been sucking on Robert James Ritchie's
penis.

tgregory: music sounds good...the singing... gotta have a southern accent to pull off country, sorry.

You, sir, have no comprehension of country if you truly believe this. Some of the best country in the world is sung without the fake, forced accent that that pop-country crap of today is. Seriously, there's no difference between the talent and depth of pop-country singers and regular pop singers. Faking an accent to sound "country" = Britney Spears.

To quote The Aslyum Street Spankers:

"I'm startin' to hate country, but I still love cowboy songs."

Not sure if Sebastian Bach qualifies as pop culture...at least in 2008. This douche was just one of many, many power ballad singing clones of the late 80s/early 90s.

Came for the Johan Sebastian Bach and was disappointed.

I already knew this toolshed was talentless, but in my late-night quest for entertainment I somehow imagined some odd interpretation of some kick-ass, baroque-esque movements. Johan wrote secular music... secular and country songs go together like Dub-ya and Epic Fail. All well, my [apparent lack of] logic failed me.

/stupid hat
//imagines what an organ would sound like in country music
///begins to hate country music more... promptly regurgitates.
