Diamonds, Daisies, Snowflakes,
That Girl
Chestnuts, Rainbows, Springtime...
Is That Girl
She's tinsel on a tree...
She's everything that every girl should be!

Sable, Popcorn, White Wine,
That Girl
Gingham, Bluebirds, Broadway...
Is That Girl
She's mine alone, but luckily for you...
If you find a girl to love,
Only one girl to love,
Then she'll be That Girl too...
That Girl!

You really shouldn't talk about yourself that way.

That was pretty much brilliant.

As for Jay Cavuto. Seriously man, WTF? How do you even look at yourself in the mirror without vomiting?

Crazy improves ratings. Yeah, it might drive away some people who actually care about the issues, but it brings in the Jerry Springer crowd. And if there's one thing ths country has: it's a lot of Jerry Springer crowd.

It's a good point. The networks call these guys on from a stable of available unofficial surrogates who can then come on and say whatever utter bullshiat and lies their candidate wants to push that day. If it backfires, they claim deniability since the surrogate was unofficial.

The media should shun all of these people. Their opinions are nothing but worthless BS anyway. The networks should only run either A. acknowledged campaign spokespeople, or B. their own political analysts, who they take responsibility for. Enough of this stable of B-string hacks.

The Gaffe-In sketch with John McCain's latest Gaffe in Pennsylvania is great. They didn't need to write a thing :P

I'd seen that clip of the old woman berating Obama, but until now had no idea she'd been legitimized by FOX News. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I am.

almandot: The Gaffe-In sketch with John McCain's latest Gaffe in Pennsylvania is great. They didn't need to write a thing :P

It also introduced me to the "I couldn't agree with them more!" thing, which was by far the worst gaffe I have ever heard. I literally yelled, "WHAT THE fark?!" at my TV when I saw that.

Yeah, i was kind of drunk.

I see your gaffe and raise you one by George W. Bush: "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

Maybe it's Saturday morning caffeine high talking, but that was one of the sharpest f*cking DS segments I've seen in a while. (And they've been on a tear this election season as it is.)

Modern media is way to reliant on the opinions of everyday "men on the street". Monty Python was mocking it back in the 1970s with their skits involving people with hankerchiefs on their heads. The trouble with the modern age is a democratization of information. If everyone's opinion has equal weight then nobody is ever wrong and each argument is just people yelling at each other and citing their own blogs or wikipedia pages, if they bother to cite anything at all.

More seriously when information isn't weighted, the lone opinion of some random guy from Iraq that Saddam has WMDs is given as much weight as the whole CIA. in the words of the late great Senator DanielPatrick Moynihan: "Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts."

What makes me angry isn't the random pundits nobody has ever heard of, it's the long time pundits like Bill Kristol who seem to never go away. When your so wrong, so many times, what is the value of your opinion?

But then again I've probably watched Pat Buchanan more because I know he hates Obama so much that I just figure before November 4th he's going to call him "someone who annoys you".

Several lol moments. You can't ask for more than that...

It makes up for the piece of crap DS last week that featured PC guy trying to sell his book. Don't remember the guy or the book and it was horrible enough that it's not worth my time to look it up.

I am all for those like Buchanan, who offer a differing perspective than my own, and are mostly honest in representing their own viewpoint.

I just cannot stand those like Pearle, Kristol, or O'Reilly, who are lying to attempt to influence the conservative ideology.
