Yeah, they've been "recording a new album" since 2004. They haven't put out anything good since '87. Too busy being money grubbing whores (Super Bowl, guitar hero, etc)

I'm all for "never to old to rock and roll," but once you start edging into the demographic where your failing vision exponentially increases the risk of mixing up the K-Y and the Poli-Grip, you're endangering the groupies, too.

Anyone watch 'House' last night? That special-guest lesbian looked a lot like Steven Tyler, didn't she?

Anyone see Tyler's interview on the Henry Rollins show? Rollins is probably the best music host I've ever watched. Great questions.

The old Rocker wore his hair too long,
wore his trouser cuffs too tight.
Unfashionable to the end --- drank his ale too light.
Death's head belt buckle --- yesterday's dreams ---
the transport caf' prophet of doom.
Ringing no change in his double-sewn seams
in his post-war-babe gloom.

Now he's too old to Rock'n'Roll but he's too young to die.

"Toys in the Attic" and "Rocks" were awesome....an excellent mix of talent and drugs and swagger. Haven't enjoyed anything since, but always give them a lot of respect for those two.

They should be forced to shoot heroin, sniff a boatload of 8 balls and drink Jack Daniels before they write a note of this album.

/Bring back the TOXIC TWINS!!!!
//Bostonian
///Misses the old Aero.

They can still rock harder than Fallout Boy, so what's the harm?

Yep. I was impressed. With both of them.

Say what you want about aging rock bands, Aerosmith still can pack an arena, and put on a hell of a show.

//Saw em during the 9 lives tour in 98
//Just realized that was 10 years ago...damn

I catagorize them as a band with immense talent that have and still could write great songs.... but won't.

Their first two albums had thier strongest songs but aside from "Dream On", they didn't cash in much. They didn't get big until "Toys in the Attic".
Once the 90's came and they started raking in big dough using outside songwriters there is no turning back for them. It will continue. That's what that huge advance from their record company paid for.

We are likely never going to get any more blues based Tyler/Perry compositions ever again.

That's okay. I have no problem spinning Toys and Rocks till the end of time.
