He already knows. Why do you think he hasn't bothered to put a transition team together?

When you think you're about to become the leader of the free world, you usually care enough to start looking ahead to the job instead of doing nothing but running attack ads.

Yup, McCain's chances are quickly headed towards 0.

Its what he deserves for running such a dishonest and dishonorable campaign.

The test of McCain's character is how he handles three weeks of knowing he's lost the election.

So far, it's not looking too good for his character.

Gotta keep it up, though. There's still over 20 days till the election. I can't wait to vote and watch the returns on the 4th. I think I'll watch MSNBC.

With how fickle your typical American undecided/independent voter is, this really doesn't mean a whole lot at this point.

IF Obama can maintain this another week and a half or so, though..

Now, now, now... something could happen to derail Obama's election:

* Aliens could fly outta Obama's butt during the next debate
* Citing "exigent circumstances", Republicans drop their opposition to cloning and make themselves a majority
* Obama's supporters rely on the other guy to get to the polling place on time.
* McCain does a Benjamin Button sorta metamorphosis

Stuff happens, hey?

Yeah, let's not start doing that thing that people do when they win just yet.

It's still 3 weeks. Steve Schmidt may not be running a good campaign in any sense of the word, but he will try anything. He has one month to portray Obama as the Antichrist. The polls (if not the win percentage) will narrow, and you know, dude's crafty, maybe.

Hopefully not, but Diebold. Diebold. Diebold. I mean, Premier Election Solutions. Or the Ohio government:

While there is a lot of time left, its important to look at historical trends and realize a lead of 8 points or so, which Obama has, has almost never been overcome in 3 weeks, if ever.

Indeed. Obama, his staffers, and his volunteers have done all but rest on their laurels. On the flip side, it seems like McCain and Palin have all but given up.

Well, if you're an Obama supporter you should vote to do your part to make sure he wins both the popular vote and the EC.

If you support McCain, you should vote to do your part to make sure the popular vote is as close as possible.

Seriously. Especially you people out there in swing states. Believe it or not, there are ways McCain could still win. They're becoming less likely, but they still exist.

DON'T STAY HOME JUST 'CAUSE YOU THINK YOUR GUY IS GONNA WIN/LOSE. And remember: this is about more than just the President. Having your say on local races and Congress is every bit as important.

Vote or die, biatches. Complacency is McCain's last hope.

Don't vote, don't biatch.

By not voting you have successfully giving up your right to complain for the next four years about the president, for the next six if there is an election for a senator, or the next two for any house member that gets voted in from your district.

You COULD however, go and vote for a third party and give them some inkling of support. Then again, I guess that would require you leaving your basement.
