So... how many of you folks are voting for this delusional power abusing liar?

Just the retarded, the racist, creationists, and those earning more than $250K/year.

At this rate, that's gonna be about 4% of the population come election day.

That's pretty optimistic in my opinion.

Well WTF did you expect her to say, people? She's a Republican - their entire information policy is, "If we say it enough times, it becomes true."

What I don't get is, why the hell hasn't the Obama campaign gone after this? Unless they just feel like they can sit back and let McCain and Palin hang their campaign themselves...

When you point out that there are more republicans than democrats on the committee, the argument falls on its face.

bulldg4life: When you point out that there are more republicans than democrats on the committee, the argument falls on its face.

Shhh, that is LOGIC. I fully expected there to be some illogical thought processes but nothing on this level. At the very least, a claim that ALL the dems on the board had it out for her because of her mavrickness.

Skail: Where have you been?

I know, I know. But still. I suppose if you can't make even the most tenuous claims (see above) then you have to go full 'tard.

I haven't seen any TV this weekend, but it seems no one gives a shiat about this story.

The double standards and hypocrisy between the two tickets is insane.

As a foreigner, this is one thing I don't understand about America. The > $250 crowd sure, but the rest of you?

/assuming 'the rest' have internet access/can read etc

That's because it's the weekend and fewer people will be watching if they break the story now. Wait till Monday or Tuesday, then you'll be hearing a lot about it.

She tried that too. Problem is, the investigator is well liked and very experienced, the legislature that ordered the investigation is Republican controlled and the committee that voted to release the report is bipartisan and released the report unanimously.

Can't really complain about much there.

Except she isn't spinning. I have no doubt that Palin truly and honestly believes that abusing her power is ethical.

I don't see why she gives a shiat or why this is even an issue. Anyone stupid enough to still be voting for this ticket isn't going to let some last minute ethical nonsense get in their way.

I've got family voting for mccain. I was talking to them last night about it. I told them they should vote independent. I was told, "You might as well not go to the poll if you're gonna do that." I said I though McCain would take us to war, and Obama would make this country at least pseudo-socialist. They laughed at me.

There are people out there with their heads in the sand. That's the only explination for it I can come up with beyond abject stupidity. These are not stupid people. One is a former CFO for a fairly large cosmetics company.

farkin' heathen: The cognitive dissonance is strong with this one.

She's beginning to sound like an unmedicated schizophrenic. What the shrinks call "word salad". Just a lot of phrases strung together that don't actually make any sense. The Virginia Tech killer sounded like that on his videos just before he killed everyone, which means the Secret Service snipers on Palin's detail need to have their rifles aimed in the other direction.

The investigation covered two main points:

1) Alaska law is specific that the governor can fire anyone in the executive branch at any time.

2) Alaska law is also specific that a public official using their authority for personal gain or any other abuse of power is guilty of an ethics infraction.

She's acknowledging the former and ignoring the latter.

In a brief conference call with press reported by the Anchorage Daily News, Palin said, "I'm very, very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing ... any hint of any kind of unethical activity there. Very pleased to be cleared of any of that."

Palin said that her husband Todd was justified in complaining about Trooper Wooten (which the report finds he did for months on end), and said there was "nothing to apologize [for] there with Todd's actions, and again very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing."

...Passersby were amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood. Passersby were amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood. Passersby were amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood. Passersby were amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood.
