How is hitting a parked car worse then hitting a car?

Next time try:

BAD: hitting a car. BETTER: hitting a parked car. WORSE: hitting a cop car. WORST: Hitting a cop car with the cop still in it.

Or we could just stop these annoying headlines.

My friend hit a parked cop car with a cop in it not too long ago... best part - the car was marked as part of the DUI task force. He got booted from the navy as a result, but not before a couple of months of us giving him hell.

But did the guy in the Honda still get the ticket the deputy was writing at the time, or does he get out of it?

/questions, questions....
//I bet the guy is thinking that too

The right-front end of Sanchez's 1998 Buick sedan collided into the left side of the patrol car and continued south until the right-front end collided into the 2007 Honda sedan that had been stopped by the deputy. Sanchez's vehicle rotated until it came to a final rest within CR 951's southbound lanes facing a northerly direction.

Great copy there.

How is hitting a parked car worse then hitting a car?

So he hit a parked car and THEN another car?

Well I backed my car into a cop car the other day. He just drove off, sometimes life's ok.

Hilarious headline for the mentally retarded.

Drunks. Is there nothing they can't do?

Me, I couldn't do that if I tried, even with practice.

Sounds like a best case / worst case scenario all wrapped up in one headline.

/Stay drunk at a place
//Or hire a taxi
///Been playing HL2 EP 2 drunk
////sStill haven't finished it

Didn't we make the FAIL tag so we didn't have to see as many FLORIDA tags?

It's evolved to "more worser"

bad: that headline

Dman33 2008-10-12 08:26:18 AM
Since we are nitpicking the headline, technically speaking the cop car was standing, not parked. Sure, it was probably shifted in park, but it was standing by definition if the cop was in it and the engine was running. Yes, this is splitting hairs but I am sure there is some other farker in a basement somewhere fuming about this.

An old friend of mine, one of the biggest idiots I had ever met, once hit a parked car while driving drunk. He fled the scene and went to the bar around the corner. He ordered a shot of whiskey and a beer, drank them and then walked back to the scene. The cop was there writing up the report so he turned himself in. The cop could only cite him for leaving the scene, but not for DUI since there was no proof he had consumed alcohol prior to the accident. Smartest idiot I ever met.

I don't know, this all seems very efficient to me. Had he hit a non-police car he would have had to wait around forever, this way it was probably all over in no time.

I applaud this man's efficiency.

TeddyRooseveltsMustache [TotalFark] 2008-10-12 08:54:05 AM
From the article: "A Naples man faces DUI charges after a three-car crash on Collier Boulevard sent one deputy and one driver to Physician's Regional Medical Center for minor injuries Friday night."

So in Florida they don't even bother to name the hospitals after anyone because there would be too many big words, and residents wouldn't know it was a hospital. But wait, how do they expect those idiots to know what a physician is?

I blame the cop. He had those distracting lights going on top of his car, blinding the other operator.

If I had lights like that on my house, I'd be charged with creating a nuisance.

/Only half-kidding; at night those flashing lights sometimes do more harm than good by impairing visibility.
