It's like 1000 knives when all you need is a fork.

White knives? Yawn.

They call this 'forking' in the hopelessly lame and boring portions of the suburbs where I grew up. You sneak around at night and stuck plastic cutlery in peoples lawns, then TP their house.

It shames me to even mention knowing people who did that.

I was confused until I read the full article. Now I'm really confused.

I've been forked and flocked (pink flamingos). Not at the same time, that would be too kinky.

Flocking was a cheerleader fundraiser. You could pay for protection, or pay to have the cheerleaders remove the offending flamingos. Either way, the cheerleaders make you pay.

So, what did the note say? Why white knives? Is his job at Family First related to anything? Seriously, that was one of the most unilluminating articles I've ever read.

RealFarknMcCoy2 2008-10-11 06:30:35 PM
Just for those who aren't aware, "Family First" is the New Zealand version of the God-bothering morons who advocate for a Christian Taliban form of government. That said, the "forking" is kinda weird. Would have opted for a better prank, like a flaming bag of dog poop on the front porch...

I'm think of other things I can pay for when it comes to cheerleaders.

What is a families lawn? Some sort of park?

My hot divorcee neighbor had a few hundred plastic forks stuck in her yard. My son and I helped her clean them up, no harm done. Philosphical question, if you do something nice for someone you would sleep with if you found yourself under a different set of circumstances, does it still count as a good deed?

skinink 2008-10-11 06:48:08 PM
I think this is a good thing. The new World Economy will be based on people buying plastic forks to stick into lawns. Fark Dow Jones.

depends on the proximity of current circumstances to this different set of circumstances

Did she get a kick out of you helping? If yes then that is a deed which done good.

Because it's far and away the most common color you'll find plastic cutlery in?

Amateurs.

Best lawn prank? Sprinkle a box of powdered milk on the grass. Hope for rain. The odor of spoiled milk permeates the soil for quite some time and refreshes with each morning dew. It's like the prank that just keeps on giving.

/mean, I know.

Technomage 2008-10-11 09:10:18 PM
It's a typical example of Lefty 'peaceful', non-threatening protest! Hypocrisy and the Left are words that go together perfectly!

Dirt-Dog 2008-10-11 09:12:23 PM
They left out the best part of the prank. You put hundreds of forks in someone's laws, and then put signs around their neighborhood advertising a "fork sale".

Wil_Mahfingahdo 2008-10-11 09:14:10 PM
This happens around here often and it must stop! Down with lawn sporking! Down with black dresses! Down with a sickness!

A good deed done as just that is just a good deed; a good deed done with an expectation of something in return isn't really a good deed, but rather is self serving. Hoping what might otherwise happen doesn't diminish your kindness.

Christian Bale 2008-10-11 09:24:37 PM
So he got an email that apologized...no way that could be someone other than the pranksters, nope.

Jgok [TotalFark] 2008-10-11 09:57:05 PM
Nobody else came here to mention this?

FTA: "Neighbours said they saw four women dressed in black on his lawn but thought they were putting out candles."

Is it a normal thing for four people dressed in black to be putting 1000 candles on someone's front lawn? Especially when its the front lawn of an apparently Christian man.

I mean, I'd probably do something like that, but this guy?

Gyrfalcon [TotalFark] 2008-10-11 10:20:58 PM
So what, was the "dumbass" tag out sticking spoons in someone else's yard?

Nothing says "we're going to kill you" like sticking plastic cutlery in some one's yard.

They should arrest the moron who took it as a serious threat for being such a moronic pansy.
