I GUESS GLBAL WAZRMING IS A LIE THEN!

That's quite a good bit of snow for Boise too.

And for those of you who may really start the glbal warming shiat, remember we are at solar min

Pfft. It only counts if you use a calendar. And no one who really knows whats going on does.

I'm hoping for a big snowstorm here this year, just to see everyone freak the hell out. The last one here was '94 I think, and they happen ~10 years, so we're due.

Add on that Fairbanks just had a super-early first day below freezing, and it all adds up to "global warming".

Remember, per envirotards:

Getting colder = global warming

Getting warmer = global warming

Stays the same = global warming

Any combination of the above = global warming

I'm not even going to TRY to explain it to you retarded monkeys.

"OH LOOK, MARFA! IT'S COLD! SO MUCH FOR DUH GLOBAL WARMING, HAHA!"

It's like teaching pigs to sing - wastes your time and annoys the pigs.

Besides, the planet will be much better off once all the humans are gone, so yeah - keep on keepin' on, you half-evolved pink sacs.

85 degrees and party sunny, sea temperature ~75 degrees here.

mmmmkaaayyyy. I looked at your profile. You seem to be a "half-evolved monkey" yourself. Are you a climatologist? Are you even a meteorologist? If you're convinced the planet is better off without us, you go first. I promise I'll follow.

I'm sure referring to people as "envirotards" makes you and your buddy Rush feel vastly more intelligent and learned and all, but you know what? It pretty much just makes you look like a dismally ignorant dittohead.

Then again, is there any other kind of dittohead?

I eagerly await your "moonbat" retort.

but the sun wasn't responsible for the warming, so it can't be responsible for the cooling, right?

The thing to watch for is the ENSO, that is, La Nina or El Nino.

main:

http://www.cdc.noaa.gov/ENSO/enso.current.html

weekly:

http://www.cdc.noaa.gov/map/images/sst/sst.anom.gif

a year in animation:

http://www.cdc.noaa.gov/map/clim/sst_olr/sst_anim.shtml

Right now it's "neutral", but in November-December of last year it went dark blue in the middle, which you see in the animation. If it stays neutral or warms up in November-December of this year, winter will be more temperate. But if it goes dark blue again, it means La Nina has returned, and we could freeze our buns off, with heavy snowfall and a hard winter that could last into April or even May.

Anyone find it funny that most people who bash others for looking at small sample sizes (e.g. 1 month, 1 season, 1 year) are looking at trends over 100 years or so, which is also pretty minuscule for earth's climate?

From your link:

Abstract
Evidence is presented that the recent worldwide land warming has occurred largely in response to a worldwide warming of the oceans rather than as a direct response to increasing greenhouse gases (GHGs) over land.
Atmospheric model simulations of the last half-century with prescribed observed ocean temperature changes, but without prescribed GHG changes, account for most of the land warming. The oceanic influence has occurred through hydrodynamic-radiative teleconnections, primarily by moistening and warming the air over land and increasing the downward longwave radiation at the surface. The oceans may themselves have warmed from a combination of natural and anthropogenic influences.

Emphasis is mine.

In other words, the link you cite doesn't do a thing to discredit anthropogenic warning.

Hey buddy, it says that the warming is due to an increase in water vapor and not the increase in cO2 although some of the increase in water vapoer may be due to anthropogenic warming and natural ocean variation.

The point is that it's water vapor and not CO2 concentration which leads to increases in average temp.

yes, they are intertwined, but the mechanism is really the water vapor and not the CO2. Water vapor is much more effective than increases in CO2
