NY Post?

lololollol.

Also, ACORN wouldn't need to bribe people to register for a black Democrat in CLEVELAND. I wonder how much the guy was paid to say he was bribed by ACORN.

:P

I'd hit it after a good many beers, then I'd quit it. I'd treat her real mean in the bedroom, and you know she's one of those women that would love it.

Obama supports an organization that has a respectable goal.

Some people in the organization go about achieving that goal the wrong way.

Obama is to blame.

Have I captured this correctly?

The bribe is to vote in the first place, genius.

ACORN has been in my experience a positive force in Houston. Their employees are educators, social workers, and union organizers. Perhaps some of their volunteers are overzealous, but the Ohio paid staff (average salaries for people holding masters degrees below 25K, BTW) number around 10, statewide. I have a hard time believing there are fewer GOP operatives working to subvert voting in Ohio.

Registering to vote 72 times != voting 72 times, or even being capable of doing so.

Yep. Its not just ACORN, pretty much any organization that focuses on the social well being of the less fortunate is off the table for folks like Malkin and hardcore neoncons. They don't like anyone who tries to help their fellow man.

Neocons don't believe in helping others, and the evangelicals don't either.

They might ask 'WWJD' but the Gospels really don't have anything at all to do with what Evangelicals think and practice. So basically any social organizing group from them has the strict purpose of converting people to their preferred pretend Christian style of hive mind thats rooted in fearing and hating your neighbor.

Blah, I can't focus today. *Rant rant rant*

Neocons don't believe in helping others...below their own income level.

the evangelicals don't either...unless you praise their personal deity.

Coupla modifications for extra truthiness!

submitter: Pro-Obama ACORN paid a man 'in cash and cigarettes' to register to vote 72 times

Because, presumably, ACORN expects him to roll around Cleveland to 72 different polling places and vote.

Right.

It's hard enough to get the poor to vote once.

Or perhaps they plan to go and vote for him?

Obama's get out the vote effort would probably be less efficient if they tried to daisy chain polling places and vote multiple times than if they did their job on election day and get legitimate voters to the polls.

dahmers love zombie [TotalFark] 2008-10-11 04:17:11 PM
If you give me a handful of meth and a video camera, I can drive about three miles from my school and find five or six people who would give me sworn statements on camera that McCain abducted them and anal probed them with a rake. Another handful of meth, and I could maybe convince some of them to say that McCain used Michelle Malkin as the anal probe.

I'd need more meth because there are some things it's harder to convince addicts to do for drugs.

If I was the McCain camp, at this point I'd be visiting Malkin, Coulter, Rush, and Hannity and telling them to shut their damn pieholes until after the election. They aren't doing any good at this point. McCain's only chance is to make a desperate push toward the center, and the neocon mouthpieces ain't that.

Tragically, yes. The Dems are better at courting the stupid vote and the criminal vote, and both are less likely to be able to negotiate the treacherous waters of the photo ID counter at the DMV. Which is a shame, because the Democrat side of things is usually the more reasonable one. If they'd cut the "disenfranchisement!!!1one!!" stuff out, and take the moral high road of "all of OUR voters can follow directions and exist, unlike the fake voters that Diebold creates", I think they'd gain more cred.

Not quite.

Obama once represented them in court in one case.

Some people that worked for them submitted false registrations.

It's all Obama's fault.

Pretty much, as far as I can tell.

The "What about the poor!!!!" thing is such a red hearing. If you truly can't/won't get around to get a photo ID, how the heck are you going to get around to go vote? Every state that I am aware of has a free ID card or a card that costs $5. If it's such an issue, make the ID cards free. Even the drunks here in GF have an ID card.

Every registration is potentially a vote. A ballot can be cast by any registered voter, regardless of whether that person actually exists.

I'll hold my outrage until I see some reports that show these people actually voting more than once. Then, I'll add in the number of registered voters removed on flimsy causes, those receiving "Vote Nov 5th!" notices or "voters are subject to outstanding traffic warrants" and the like, and check my overall reaction.

Uh huh. Paragon of truth, this one. We can believe anything he says, as presented by a desperate ideologue.

Danielsan: Is this why Democrats are always against photo IDs at voting booths?

Be so kind as explain why Republicans are consistently against motor-voter registration, where the potential for fraud is far less than any other.

ID cards in Wisconsin cost about $30.

No, duplicate registrations are automatically purged from the rolls. You can (quite legally) register yourself to vote once per day for your whole life, you still only get to vote once come election day.
