Wait, so Palin is God now?

No she hired an assistant to perform those duties as well. She just sits around and does her nails.

She can see the clouds from her house, so she's qualified.

Didn't she speak in tongues at a political speech?

I find it mind-boggling ironic that those who wish to tear down the separation of church and state, those who dream of a Creationist Theocracy, are those who will one day be most persecuted when Christianity is no longer the dominate religious hegemony in the United States.

They wish to tear down exactly that which protects them from persecution, out of a greedy desire to undermine secular culture and proselytize.

I heard she suspected an Alaska State Senator of being a witch so she busted out a 12-gauge and shot the biatch down right in the middle of a legislature session.

Back about 4 weeks ago I thought I couldn't get enough Palin bashing in until the election. I'm sort of sad to say that the schadenfreude is over. There's just too much and it's too easy.

I'm ready for Nov. 4th now.

I don't know who said that, but that is the key issue vs. atheism which I respectfully disagree.

I do think lots of people choose not to sin based on fear of reprisal in Hell, I do think they need that in order to get by. I think that society has understood this for Millennia.

We don't need no protection from that. We're all gonna get raptured soon. I know my pa thought the same thing, and his pa before him, and so on, but I know Jesus is definitely coming back in MY lifetime. This is also why I don't worry about global warming. Besides, America was founded on Christianity. At least, it was until this election.

It's still well worth it. Seeing Republican pundits (wait, there are no Republican pundits, they're all independent) get flummoxed and laughed at on TV defending Palin sates me when I've overloaded on mocking Palin herself.

No, she just thinks that she is an agent of God and it is her Christian duty to help bring about the End Times.

That's what I said in different words.

Thinking you are an agent of god and thinking you are god are, in practical terms, basically the same thing.

I suppose you're right about that. Either way, it's a whole lot of blasphemy.

Blasphemy: How to say Wharrgarbl in religious terms.

Palin and her family billed the state $3,022 for the cost of attending Christian gatherings exclusively, including visits to the Assembly of God here and to the congregation they attend in Juneau, according to expense reports reviewed by the AP

Awesome.

Okay. Here we go. She has Executive experience. She shows her family values by supporting her daughter's decision to marry her boyfriend because of an unplanned pregnancy. She shows her support of the disabled because she has a son with Down Syndrome. Her son is in Iraq -- she supports the troops.

But the main reasons? Her spunkiness and willingness to fight against the status quo. She is a Washington outsider and a true Maverick!

And, she knows we are a Christian nation and is willing act on that foundation.

Oh yeah...I forgot.

She's gutsy and truthy and folksy and spunky and cute and family valuesy!!

This is what you get when a party embraces anti-intellectualism.

You were doing just fine up until that error. One could almost argue that the rest of your wharrgarbl was at the level of "political opinion", which everyone of course has their own right to express.

But we are not, and have never been, a Christian nation. Sarah Palin's apparent disdain for that fact is reason enough to deny her the position, net of any other qualifications.

Are you offended by the phrase "Under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance? Why or why not?

Palin: Not on your life. If it was good enough for the founding fathers, its good enough for me and I'll fight in defense of our Pledge of Allegiance.

Well, to be fair, Palin probably thinks the country started in 1947..

Ever since Palin has entered the election, I have found a newly rekindled faith within myself. I find myself praying with the utmost sincerity and humility that the Lord God can find it within Himself to ensure that after the election we never hear from this twatwaffle again.

/God answers all prayers
//sometimes the answer is "No"

Every day, we learn more and more about this woman, we learn that either

A) John McCain did not vet this woman, and is as surprised as anyone at her ineptitude.
B) John McCain has no respect for the office of the Presidency.
C) John McCain has no respect for the average American voter.
D) All of the above.
