There was a fire truck on craigs list not to long ago. Ben really wanted it but we don't have anywhere to park it. Besides, we are trying to buy a house right now.

You can sleep in a fire truck, but you can't drive a house.

How can you argue with that logic??

I can't believe there are morons in the comments section complaining that they should have donated the truck to a small town as a tax write-off.

I rented Mystic Pizza in middle school with some friends. We thought it would be about a creepy pizza place or something.

Wow, were we disappointed.

FTFA: Beer now runs through insulated lines that once pumped water to the front of the truck and comes out of two taps. They can do the same for wine and fountain soda.

Mmm...truck wine.

The fire department in my girlfriend's town is selling an old truck. I'm seriously considering stealing this guy's idea. You can't go wrong with mobile beer and pizza.

Spiffjiggins 2008-10-11 04:26:35 PM
It would've been nice to have some better pictures of the truck...

Can't wait to see him go up against some pizza chain I heard of on Fark called NYPD.

Matrix Flavored Wasabi 2008-10-11 05:05:59 PM
That would be awesome. Back in the 60s and 70s, my grandfather (a Greek immigrant who still knows very little English) converted a school bus to a "pizza bus" (put in a few ovens, a freezer, and a generator) and drove around all the college campuses in Boston (BU, MIT, Harvard, etc.) selling fresh pizzas out of this bus. I wish someone would do that here...

jaylectricity: I can't believe there are morons in the comments section complaining that they should have donated the truck to a small town as a tax write-off.

They're idiots that have no idea about firefighting equipment. In many many cases, the equipment is too old to be used efficiently or safely.

Similar to the idiots in San Francisco that ask why a fire engine goes on 911 (non-fire) calls. They simply have no idea how the system works.

Yeah those farktards for not knowing something that they have nothing to do with nor any need to know!

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the SHEER MAGNITUDE OF WIN this represents. It's like he's reading our minds, if only we were that clever.

Yeah but you can't have a shower in a ... wait.

yaknowthatguy 2008-10-11 05:47:35 PM
it's actually an engine, not a truck.....trucks have extension ladders permanently affixed to their roof (75', 100', etc, with waterways and nozzles, some with baskets, blah blah blah ).

But semantics aside.....this guy just took Tim Taylor's Man Card. Pizza ovens, awnings and cold flowing beer? That just tastes like America.

/hat off

hyperflame 2008-10-11 05:55:21 PM
I wish to subscribe to this man's newsletter, as he has more man points than Tim Taylor, Chuck Norris, etc etc.

And to all the haters: suck it. You're just pissed that you didn't think of this idea first.

yaknowthatguy: it's actually an engine, not a truck...

If your description makes a truck, what makes an engine? I mean, what does it do, carry guys and hose and stuff? And the one with the water, is that still a pumper?

Inquiring minds and all...

There is actually a Mystic Pizza in Mystic, CT

Link (new window)

I have no idea if their pizza is any good though, or why the fark they made a movie out of it.

How many men does it take to keep the beer hose under control when they open the tap?
